Walmart is the main cause for this. It is a shitty arse company. This was their way to get on the government tit. Never spend a penny with them.

I love the jaded way of thinking people have. I’d bet you the majority of things purchased on SNAP cards are better than you’d think. Also many of these parents work shift jobs and or late nights. Whipping up a dinner crafted from “government staples” isn’t as easy as you might think. Perhaps they’re offered some amount of convenience to their lives?

Surely there's a pretty large lobby of shite food producers who make a killing off the taxpayers that may keep this from happening. Maybe something RFK needs to expose for leverage.

Dried beans in a slow cooker isn’t rocket science and the majority of them don’t work anyway maybe learning to cook would be a good life skill. No more steak and boiled seafood on the tax payer dime. Many times I see items I don’t regularly purchase due to cost on the check out line being paid for with a ebt card buy a woman with expensive clothes, nails and hair done and a designer purse

The entire food entitlement system - WIC, SNAP, food stamps, school lunch program, etc., is just welfare for Big Ag and Big Grocery

Get rid of ALL welfare, SNAP, EBT, all of it at both the state and federal levels. . Government should never be responsible for providing essentials to people - that was never the mandate or responsibility of government.

Also, it'd sure be nice for our taxes to be decreased to reflect that the taxpayers aren't supporting people any longer. That way when the bleeding heart liberals inevitably bitch about how "vile" it is that the gubmint isn't paying for people's basic needs any longer, anyone who wants to give their own money to help others are free to do so; they can do what they wish with their money.

But don't require me to pay a damn penny to help someone I don't want to help. Screw collectivism. I promise that not a single American would starve due to this change - anyone saying otherwise are simply lying and being fear mongerers. And don't scold me about not being a "Christian" for doing this - give me a break - churches are still the largest organizations running food banks even today from what I understand.

I am liberal by this boards standards, but SNAP needs a major overhaul. They need to SERIOUSLY limit the things you can purchase with it. Water, Milk, Bread, Meat, Cheese, and a few other things only. People need food to live, dont let them buy junk food.

You definitely should not wager that. The larger majority? Absolutely not. Zero percent chance.

Boo freaking hoo. How hard is it to cut up an apple and assemble a ham sandwich? It's just too hard to whip up a dinner made of free food?

You do realize people who work and pay for their food also need to fix dinner. When did Americans become so soft? I'm getting old.

I agree 100% with everything you just said HouseMom. So tired of the excuses so many people make for other's terrible, selfish and entitled behavior.

Perfect example of why we should end the program today.

More seriously, governments need to get ahead of this and let everybody know if they're caught stealing they lose their benefits for life.

I’m mean enough to require them to wait in line at a soup kitchen.

Want to eat? Want me to pay for it?

Eat the slop that is left over from feeding public school kids.

It’s already more than they deserve.
