Your Louisiana baw, James Carville, said that many years ago. And he was right. For all the crazy shite Democrats push, one thing will always be true: cost of living will always trump every other concern Americans have. For better or for worse.

The Iran War or Conflict or whatever the hell you want to call it was one of the worst miscalculations in modern American political history. Even if Iran was close to getting the bomb, you’ll have a hard time convincing the ordinary man or woman on the street why that’s their problem.

Tonight was a referendum on how poor of a decision Iran was. Nothing more, nothing less.

People who voted for Biden then Harris and now complain about gas/cost of living are fricking hilarious.

Ain’t no Dem policy on Earth going to lower the price of gas. Ever

I think Trump truly believes in what he did with Iran.

He just said on Fox he understands people are upset about the gas prices.

He knew it wasn’t the smart thing to do politically, but if it meant keeping Iran without the bomb, he took the chance.

Many here won’t agree with that because it doesn’t satisfy short term desires, but the point matters.

I don't think it's just the economy. A lot of people are pissed that we're in a war they didn't want and that's what they blame for the poor economy. I don't like the war, but I understand it. I just wish we would have beaten Iran into submission from the beginning but Trump kept showing mercy. That's what ultimately cost the Republicans. Unpopular presidents during war time won't keep the house or senate, no matter if Satan is on the other side or not.

He said we obliterated Iran’s entire nuclear program in July of 2025 and said anyone who says otherwise was lying.

or the cost of goods and services that shot up post covid under biden!

all these jagoffs over reacting on EMOTIONS like women instead of rationally looking at it

gas was this high 19 years ago. high under biden. pussies crying over this can choke on a cock. i do not think it had anything to do with this. trump added 90k private sector jobs last month exceeding estimates. these poor fricks must all get medicaid because why did they not cry over obamacare breaking people?

it is all a crock of shite.

But Trump never gave a compelling reason why we needed to act. He spent no time explaining it. Or explaining it well.

we were already keeping them without nuclear weapons...

the ironic part of all of this, at the end of this conflict will HAVE TO accept a lessened version of what we had in place BEFORE we got into this conflict... and that's not even considering we've given them the ability to now weaponize the Strait of Hormuz, which wasn't a thing BEFORE this conflict...

but, of course, the GOP will try to spin it as a win b/c we "ended the war with Iran" even though we will have spent a frick ton of money, depleted our armament and weapons cache, and will have needlessly lost American lives...

People complaining about high gas prices under Trump has been one of the dumbest complaints I have heard this election cycle considering we were all paying even more under Biden.

California has pretty much had the highest gas prices in the country for years with other Dem run states not far behind. Even when Trump had gas prices lower across the country people in California were paying out their arse. Yet somehow people thought that putting Dems back in charge in Washington with the same extreme climate policies and philosophies as California is going to somehow lower gas prices. The American public has become extremely stupid and lazy. Instead of thinking critically about the problem and using some good old fashioned common sense. The American public just accepts what the Dems and the media tells them. You can either have cheaper gas or extreme climate change laws and regulations. You can’t have both.

And that's part of it. I understand it. Younger people don't. Women don't understand anything if you can't make them react emotionally. This second term for Trump hasn't been good. It's better than having Kamala, but im no better off than I was two years ago.

it's because people know it's Iran and they would never live up to any agreement to not build a bomb anyway

Whats even more hilarious are the Republicans who campaigned on the high Biden economy acting like theres nothing at all wrong with this economy.

Two birds of the same cult.

But you lost the voters that ultimately won 2024 tonight and it showed.

It was more than just the war in Iran, but that was probably the main catalyst to what we saw tonight. Add in the rampant corruption/pay for play, Epstein files, a president only leading for half the country, a president turning his back on our allies, a president who constantly talks shite about the people he's supposed to help lead, ICE killing Americans, inflation, etc etc and it's easy to see why we got the results we did tonight.

Yeah, I'll never understand the what-aboutism. The economy sucked under Biden/Harris and it sucks now under Trump/Vance. The latter two ran on a platform to fix the economy and bring us back to the good times prior to the pandemic.

They failed epically.

The economy will always be number 1. But this is also from campaign promises not being kept, war, and the fact that some issues voters elected trump on like border security aren’t really an issue so you forget about them. Until they become an issue again when the dems take over. Then the pendulum swings back

On that note, this was a major pendulum swing. Trump should be embarrassed and ashamed- I know he is but he will never admit it. The real dagger will be if the dems can pack the court. If that happens the country is officially lost

Looking back how long?

The first prosecutor 2006 was a Democrat. All the locked files were from the settlement. The girls were considered prostitutes, not victims.

No one discusses that ….

The economy is actually going great.

Temporary gas and diesel prices don’t define an economy. They simply allow stupid people to be swayed by believing that and voting to prove their stupidity.

GDP numbers prove the actual economy.
