re: When does baseball start?

We looked pretty meh this past weekend. To spend this much money and come out flat was very disappointing. We run ruled twice in our opening weekend sweep last year against a no name NY team at home. We shouldn't have been out hit 3-10 in any game against Hofstra.

We don't have a money issue rn. We have had plenty of spending. This football staff isnt it tho and they've proven that for the past two years.

We can hire plenty of guys that won't blow double digit 4q leads or lose to toledo by 40
Bailey Howell
Jarvis Vernardo
Erik Dampier
Josh Hubbard
Jeff Malone
Damn if anything youd think SC would be a fairly likeable job being in ACC Territory. Is it the womens program?

I think the lack of continuity in not being able to develop players in this new era has killed us and these 1 year contracts are just unsustainable for everyone. Yeah teams can accumulate talent quicker but you sacrifice development and continuity no matter what.

I woudlve thought in 2026 this wouldve been resolved but it looks like something radical will happen instead

It doesnt help that we've spent too much on baseball for really a lack of return. Time will tell on O'Connor for sure but this could easily turn into Jimbo too. But I think we will have success there but being good in baseball and mediocre in basketball and football won't cut it.

I think it doesnt help lebby is a terrible coach and will be fired this year. Im not down on jans and I like him but the era of having to rerecruit everyone is killing him like everyone. SEC has money but theres a lot of other basketball schools that do too and some only have to invest for 15 players instead of including 100 football players.

I think our athletic department as a whole is on the right track. I like what Selmons done but the eyes will always be big when football isnt good.

Great win yesterday. I really think with the transfers we needed a month or two to get some chemistry. Just unfortunately the new world of basketball.

I don't think we are world beaters or anything now but we are night and day from November.

We would've beaten San Francisco if Hubbard wasn't injured so that game has a big astrik on it anyways.

I think we have a good chance to pick up some big wins in sec play and I think it helps that it's not the complete buzz saw of a league it was last year. But there's some good teams for sure.
Must be pretty bad to have one of your longest losing streaks to Alabama during their decline
The dumbasses have John Cohen presiding over the worst stretch in Auburn football history and they are still in denial that he isn't a bad AD.
Notre Dame isn't even the best team in their state. They should stop crying about not making the playoffs when their best wins are Boston College and Stanford.
So Michigan is doomed to mediocrity for a decade only to hire him back as OC?
My guess is they knew Terry Bowden and Auburn were gonna destroy them as well so they bowed out.
Notre Dame pussying out of Bowl games is nothing new. This is the soy boy culture that has always run the program over there. Avoid all competition and declare themselves ripped off or champions when they can.

In 1996 Lou Holtz and the team turned down the Independence Bowl vs Auburn because they thought they were too good for it.

Between 1925-1970 they refused to go to bowl games as well due to their snobbness.

The bowl system was strong before Notre Dame decided they would go to some bowl games and it will be fine without Notre Dame. Those idiots won't be the the ones that change the system. It will be the leaders that bend over to take every drop ND gives them.

Its unbelievable that this sport bends over backwards for a school that hasn't won a title since 1988 but here we are. They even have a MOU for next year that if they are close to the top 12 they are automatically in the playoffs. Just a soft program and an embarrassment to the sport. Hopefully they dissolve this program soon.
Glad to see our program in its rightful place ahead of Notre Dame who isn't even in a bowl game. Ouch!

I'm not either this idiot actually brought back Arnett which means he has no connections at all. Unreal. He hired the one guy I'd have been more excited to see Hutzler back for.

How anyone thought this was a good idea is beyond me but it's the most Mississippi State hire of all time.
Unfricking believable might as well have Joe Moorhead as OC while we are at it. Only our dumbass fans would think Zach Arnett was the savior of State while Leach was the problem. Unreal they worship Arnett more than fricking Mullen. God I hate these assholes. They love to be abused and lose. They take it in deep. Close it all down at this point. frick them all.
HAHAHAHA what another brilliant move by Cohen. I can't believe you idiots still pay for that clown

If the conference had some games on any other network other than ABC then millions of SEC fans wouldn’t have missed three weeks of games on YTTV.

Or just pull out a tv antenna and enjoy free TV without paying Disney or Google a dime
I guess my point is this past weekend on ABC we got:

Mississippi State Ole Miss

Georgia Georgia Tech

Texas Texas A&M

LSU Oklahoma

Alabama Auburn

All on ABC. Before wed just get Alabama Auburn and Mizzou Arkansas on CBS. This was just a much better viewing experience for me. But I can understand the argument of the presentation being better in general on CBS for the game. I just personally prefer the quantity of SEC games than the presentation quality of one game when I grew up watching fricking Jefferson Pilot in 240p.
