Every one of these do-gooders who tout how immoral it is would be begging for the morphine overdose once it's their turn to suffer in agony waiting for the end. Nothing worse than watching family suffer and not being able to do a thing about it..

Why not let government decide when life is not worth continuing? Let’s just mandate that all persons 65 and older must be terminated? It would save a lot of money on SS and Medicare and get rid of all those GOP voters. If you make assisted suicide legal, the Government will regulate it and in the end determine when it should be applied.

I agree with most of what you say....the problem is, people will take advantage of the law and terminate unhappy people, injured people, etc....

Damn sure is. Take something like Alzheimer's. At a certain point someone with Alzheimer's is so far gone that it's cruel to them and their family to keep them going.

I have doubts about whether morphine can really eliminate the pain. Not in my experience with it.

I don't think so. It may be a reasonable decision and it is also legal in some places. But moral? No.
