They got the world's largest navy.
Oh nooooz!! Let’s discuss this large navy some more? How many of their “ships” can travel more than 500 miles from shore?
How do they handle logistics with this large navy?
How far could they even move say 1,000 soldiers?
Most of what they say is part of their navy would be considered oil field supply boats in our world

What are you doing with this?
Not to be rude but it sounds like your working on a term paper. Or you just read a book or just arrived on planet Earth.
I am trying to understand the juxtaposition between A) China is our biggest adversary and is openly hostile towards the American way of life and B) We continue to buy crap from China, take their students, educate our students, employ them in critical areas, allow them to buy influence over American institutions and corporations, and to own property in our nation. There's CCP spyware in many homes and businesses across America and it's basically shrugged off.
The two realities are at odds with each other.

Every single Chinese student enrolled in an American university that accepts taxpayer dollars should be expelled and deported today. Every last goddamn one of them.

China and the U.S. have had a symbiotic relationship with regards to trade
That has helped keep the peace and will likely continue to help keep the peace
China unfortunately seems to have some ill intentions and is going to mess things up for both countries

I actually respect the ancient Chinese culture and that’s why I agree with you.
They are very patient and play the long game while we aren’t and we don’t.
Your downvotes are probably indicative of a combination of:
-Those who have bought into the authoritarian government wearing a friendly capitalist mask (the opportunity to make some money and/or access to cheap stuff buys good feelings.)
- Good old American arrogance. “We are mighty and could never be brought to our knees!”
Meanwhile CCP has slowly and methodically woven itself into almost every aspect of our country imaginable over a number of decades.
I consider them a very cunning, capable and worthy opponent.

Yes I believe they are our biggest competitor by far. Anyone who underestimates the chinamen are making a big mistake.

I agree with some of the other answers. The Democrat Party is our biggest adversary. And...adversary is quite probably the wrong word. I think the Democrat Party is our biggest enemy.

Yup incredibly dangerous.
Motive and means.
They play on all fields, diplomatic, financial, trade, manufacturing, military, space, cyber, informational etc...

The Pentagon and IC also agree.
The USA is pivoting to confront Chyna. Before they own us through legit or unconventianal means.
Back in the 90s,at the end of the Cold War, China was allowed into the fold.
The Clintons/crooked politicains on both sides got rich.
Gradually, the Pentagon and IC have awoken to the danger that Chyna represent to our freedom. Some parts of the US get rich while they are slowly corrupting our way of life. Covid proved this, and how much control they already own.
The rewards are not worth the damage. And it hollows out the country.
If the US doesn't pivot now, it will be too late.
There are a lot of power centers that have joined the Trump train.
The Pentagon and IC are on the team. Not obvious yet, but they are there.
Some of the old IC are still thinking Europe can win. And want to cover their asses.
NATO cannot survive without the US. It is over. The EU will fall apart soon there after. And the Euro.
So Europe and Russia are on their own. We have a country to rebuild.

We just have to hold them off for a few more years and they'll implode on their own. Plus, as much as everyone wants to stay out of world affairs, we have to back Taiwan to keep the PLAN bottled up in the First Island Chain.

No, there's another country but I dare not say who.
The USA is the towering giant with the massive club standing behind Israel. Without us, they'd be smashed by literally the entire ME.
Now if your point is the influence that nations have, Israel is certainly #1. But China is staunchly adversarial hiding behind a facade of neutrality, and they have vastly improving naval and air fleets, along with first-world armaments and the largest ground force on earth.
Both are incredibly dangerous threats in their own right. One just doesn't try so hard to appear friendly.

Nobody cares except the people that want to scare you and make a boatload of money with the China charade.

It is agreed across the American political landscape that China is our biggest political rival. That isn't the issue.
The issue is what to do about them.
What to do about a possible dangerous but dying adversary that may find the need to lash out in either a last-ditch attempt at power or perhaps just a way to distract its own citizenry from their problems.
What to do about a country that large parts of your economy are attached to, even if we aren't dependent on them as a whole. No, we don't need China, but when you have a company like Apple who has stupidly bet the house on their supply chain and still has almost endless amounts of cash lying around, then there's going to be political issues when dealing with China.
What to do with China's frenemy, Russia, who's invasion into the Ukraine not only plays into China's plans as a way to disrupt an American led-world order but also as a way to better understand the bet they make when the go for Taiwan.
What to do about with our allies when there's currently a massive disagreement over priorities with some of them openly talking to China because of the change in direction with the new administration.
So only a few outliers believe that China is not our primary geopolitical rival. We just need to come up with an overall strategy on how to deal with them.

Rome had many great advisories.
They took them in as well.
Before you post a retort they were the greatest empire known.

On here?? yes. Nothing new to us.
To the everyday person who doesn't get as involved as us, no. So theyll be easily manipulated by their sleeper agent neighbors.
