Do some of you realize what we did in WW2? By the time we got to Japan's homeland General LeMay had perfected bombing.
The first major attack on Tokyo, one night, we killed an estimated 100K. Used cluster bomb napalm. Then followed up with a second wave of fragmentation cluster bombs.......to kill anyone who had come out to rescue people or put out fires.
We did the same to every major city in Japan, some two and three times.....except a few, cause we wanted them pristine and untouched.
Forget that Hollywood bullshite debates about dropping the bomb. There was never any doubt we were going to drop BOTH types to see the damage they would do so we left a few cities untouched so we could study them.
And you will never hear anyone in Kokura Japan complain about a cloudy day because they were the primary target for the second bomb but smoke from a nearby firebombed city made sighting difficult so the plane went on to Nagasaki the secondary target.
War crimes my arse. The famous line from the Treasure of Sierra Madre comes to mind "bagggeees, bagggeesss we don need no stinkin baggeeess".

If you want to win hearts and minds and have the regime overthrown, you have to be better than killing 170 kids in the opening salvo of the conflict. If this was really a Palantir AI mistake, that's scary.

You need to look up the definition of murder.

Using the word murder, I assume you were talking about intentionally killing women and children that are innocent. No that is likely never morally acceptable, but let’s define innocent.
During operation, Gothic serpent men shooting at the Rangers and Delta guys involved were intentionally hiding behind women and children, and the women and children were assisting them by forming a human shield and then ducking down and allowing the men to fire and then duck down below them. I did not consider any of those women and children innocent.
So again the key is, what is your definition of innocent before I can answer that question.

Was this ever a consideration in 1948?

That same side is dumping millions in political candidates and propaganda in the US to create a sympathetic narrative that keeps the US mired in never ending violence.

Stop believing BS propaganda.
Stop believing only one side is innocent. Believe that you don't have to take a side in every conflict in the world every time.

You are now sympathizing and siding with the enemy, which is exactly the goal of their propaganda efforts
Both of those sides have propaganda campaigns. F both of them.

you people are idiots, if we fought wars your way we'd have lost WW2. it's the reason we've lost every war since. curtis lemay killed 100,000 japanese civilians in the fire bombing of tokyo in one night.
the truth about war is simple, they're conflicts between nations not individuals and there are no innocents.
think how different afghanistan would have been if curtis lemay had been in charge instead of george w. bush.
our plan was to help them to embrace our christian values and democracy, let their women to vote,
how'd that work out boy? do afghan women still get to vote? you see jethro you can't change things if you don't win.

“Like” in this context is a casual synonym for approximately.
If it helps you, I’ll rephrase to “roughly” or “around” 20,000 children have been killed in Palestine.
Although it kinda feels like you’re spittin’ some pedantic bullshite to avoid addressing the point, yo.

If you knowingly carry out a kinetic military action that will kill innocents, what word would you prefer to use?
Collateral damage. Depends on the intent. There’s a big difference between knowingly and intentionally. What Foo is saying is that there’s a difference between murder and killing- via military action or law enforcement.
The uniform does not excuse, erase, or justify murder. But it does provide a unique set of circumstances in which the taking of life may be justified.

It’s not ok if we did it intentionally because some of them were kids of Iranian leaders.

According to the left wing, yes. Woke up in the morning feeling a little down and out? Hell just strangle your kids to death. It's all good.

E.g., The Bin Laden raid was potentially going to kill folks who might have been in the wrong place at the wrong time, kids included. Hamas fires rockets from school yards, mosques, and hospitals. Counter strikes are likely to include civilian casualties. The strike on Iranian leadership at the beginning of the Iranian conflict involved family members of leadership.
Are those examples of "murder"? OF COURSE NOT!
The Iranian school was hit because the school occupied buildings on an Iranian naval facility which were previously used by Naval Command. It was an unfortunate mistake amongst 10,000 sorties.
