There Infrastructure is utterly destroyed. There play is now to posture, spin, they are losing billions daily, we bombed the rail road. Not letting anything in by water. They have some capacity to receive goods from China and Russia through air but not much. There end game is to wait out and see if a democratic majority or presidency happens in the near future.

I think they have been listening to MSM too much and they think they have more leverage than they actually do.
The US only gets a fraction of their oil from the ME. China gets a lot more and they were getting a discount. They are not getting any from there now.

They were on the verge of being a failed state prior to the conflict.

Why do you think they say that? If the roles were reversed, you'd chant the same thing. If Russia acted us, installed puppet governments and so forth, are you going to be happy with Russia, or would you say Death to Russia?
And how it is different than all the people on this forum who say Death to Iran, want to drop nukes on them and bomb the frick outta them?
Is it really that hard to put yourself on the other side to see you would act the same way?

Can they really afford to wait it out?
This was a while back, so maybe things have changed, but I heard many people say that a prolonged blockade of the Stright would mean Iran could not get their oil out and when that happens they only have a couple of months until real infrastructure problems occur with their oil wells - making them essentially inoperable.
If that is true, they cannot even wait until the November elections.
