Did the US Congress just recently vote to end this war under the War Powers Act? I thought I read something about that.

Trump's legal ability to continue to attack Iran is now curtailed by the US Congress, right? Am I wrong about that?

The Islamic Republic regime has never truly been interested in peace.

The radicals that make up that government believe the government survived with the protection of “Allah”. Those killed are looked at as martyrs now.

We might as well settle in because this will be the norm so long as that regime survives.

Isn’t Trump now limited in what he can and can’t do?

Thanks Congress. Much appreciated.

Yes and no. They passed it but there really isn’t anything Congress can do if Trump decides to take action. He could also restart the clock if he wanted.

It was merely a symbolic resolution with no teeth.

Congress's move. They voted to take control from Trump. The Senate can come back from its recess and deal with it.

This is not necessarily unexpected.

The irgc believes one thing. Some pragmatic people believe something else.

Even though the pragmatic people say one thing there irgc does what it wants.

At some point there may very well be shooting between the two sides. It's annoying as frick however. You want the regular army to go in and battle the irgc. But the irgc doesn't mind dying so they welcome it. And it's a not insignificant amount of people.

The battle lines are being drawn but hopefully a civil way can be avoided.

But is it a symbolic gesture demonstrating to POTUS Trump that We the People of the USA no longer support violent actions against the IRGC and the Mullahs of Iran.

It is a gesture that signals that the USA wants to quit this violent action against Iran.

Once again, POTUS Donald Trump is just one man trying to do what's best for the long term benefit of the USA, and, most of the USA wants to stop him.

My prognosis for the future of the USA is poor, but, I'm not a medical doctor.
