This! There have only been 40ish days of actual military action. Seems reasonable Trump could restart the 60 day period or claim the remaining days.
Both Clinton qnd Obama had military operations that surpassed 60 days, nobody bitched then.....

Let’s recap
Trump wanted to repeat the success he had down in Venezuela in Iran. Kill the leaders and the people would rise up and support our efforts to put in a reasonable . They didn’t.
What’s the big difference here? Where was the miscalculation? Starts with an “I”

Either gonna be the Iranians or Democrats...take your pick, I'm down for eliminating either or both

Did the US Congress just recently vote to end this war under the War Powers Act? I thought I read something about that.
Trump's legal ability to continue to attack Iran is now curtailed by the US Congress, right? Am I wrong about that?
Yeah which is why they are still attacking. 47 isn't at war with Iran nearly as much as he is at war with our own fricking deranged country.

What happened to that Shah's son guy?
He's comfortable, having absconded for the US. There was no way he was ever going back into that meat grinder terrorist den over there again.
He had publicly stated he was willing to help during a transitioning phase if regime change occurred, but I never heard him sound committed or even interested in returning to his old life... and I don't blame him.

Exactly. It’s on them now

Time to blow some things up.
I'm certain the 'guys' our administration are talking to is saying 'It isn't us' -- we should 'respond now with munitions' and fines... saying "get your shite in order" because every time it happens, Iran will pay, one-way or the other.
This bullshite of us not having the cards is just that... bullshite. We own it all. Iran is simply a few powerplants and bridges away from lighting their homes and offices with candles.

Except that they by virtue of geography sit next to a vital waterway and now have a newfound strength to control it.
You can’t just throw your hands up now and say “hey we tried to help yall”
That’s the folly we all said at the start of this

a. That's not what happened in Venezuela. We took out one leader and hand-picked a successor from the same party. The people had no say
b. We literally told the Iranian people NOT to revolt until we were done bombing. Then we started this disjointed ceasefire process and never revisited whether or not it was time for them to start.

Unless Trump doesn't veto it, you are wrong.

It would be interesting to hear several regime leaders suddenly had their lives ended.

A small nuke will change Iran's position.

That’s my position too. We never should have started it, but no choice but to finish it now.

They already came back and overturned it.
