Lol she was told to leave before you had any kids. Kids have no impact on the outcome. If anything, she can take her kids back to her home country and let them acknowledge their heritage.

A person in Costa Rica told me everyone learns to speak English if they want to make money. She should have picked up on that philosophy

Probably one of my college profs.

SHE wasn't.
So what?

Since 2005 and can't speak English. As long as our govt gives them a free pass why bother assimilating.

BS. They may predominantly speak Spanish/ Spanglish in those communities but they all can understand and speak English. You know why? The people you are talking about are Americans and as I said (that you ignored) English is still our common language that ties us together.
You probably lack exposure to these areas
There are places in the U.S. where people who have been here for generations only speak Spanish

Yes. That's a recent development that I missed. And it's via an EO that will not have any staying power.

So those people aren’t attending public schools were English is taught?
Interesting theory.

Stop. You are making yourself look stupid. There are no places in America where American citizens, who grew up here and went to school here, do not understand English or speak it as a 1st or 2nd language.

I almost missed it in the audio, but from the web:
And it said she entered 2005? 20 years? She's been cut a deal then:
20 years × 365 days/yr × $500 = $3,650,000
Why only $1.82M? That's about half what it could be. Should add interest.

The fine was issued under the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act, which allows for civil penalties against individuals who fail to depart the U.S. after receiving a removal order. While the law permits fines of up to $500 per day, such penalties have historically been rare.
