Some people understand this

I do find the definition of tremendous damage amusing in light of the damage inflicted on Iran in the last 4 months that seems to be discounted and/or ignored by the same bunch

Did you forget that both Trump and Bibi told them to hold tight until we let them know it was time to act?

the USA could go in with one bomber and wipe out the whole country!

the USA has shown tremendous precision thus far considering the tremendous damage they have already inflicted on the country of Iran.
the USA has shown tremendous restraint thus far in not inflicting damage on civilian life or infrastructure.
the USA military could in short order and with little resistance inflict tremendous damage on just about anything it wants in Iran via any number of tactical or mass destruction weapons.
the panicans and doom and gloomers here see this existing damage and pretend it does not exist/did not happen. Then they see the restraint being excersized as "weakness".
They do this purposely because they don't want to see the US and this operation for what it is. they would rather be political than support the US.

It's time for General Mobilization of the US nation state and time to invade and conquer Iran before people start pointing and laughing us and calling us "France".

Your comment shows a pathetic understanding of our military might.

You are thinking of only 1 part of the equation. We have a ton of assets in the area, even more allies in the area, and would have to commit more assets in the area to keep the straight open.
Desalinization facilities in the middle east? Begin the Iranian onslaught (killing hundred of thousands of civilians in the Gulf States).
Our expensive Naval fleet? How many billions will we commit to shooting down $20-$50k drones?

Other than maybe you have a different definition of tremendous
We don’t need anything other than that. That was a stupid, histrionic statement. Iran cannot do “tremendous” damage to our navy or bases. They tried for months and failed.

Exactly, that lesson has been learned a few times. If watching tens of thousands of your countrymen die in the streets at the hand of leadership doesn’t motivate them to take their country back, it’s a lost cause.

People on here seem to forget that Trump is nothing more than a businessman who thinks that he can apply his business tactics to foreign diplomacy. Him being in the White House doesn’t change that.
Countries are similar to businesses / corporations just replace lawsuits with warfare.

when Trump stops posting tough talk online, maybe the Iranians will take him seriously...

I know, I know, fake news. I would think you guys start waking up about the fact that it wasn’t going well over there. But, most people here still seem stunned the MOU wasn’t a great deal and we can’t do what we want.

well said thanks.
Histrionics, couched in authoritative tones, seems to be the new currency for a number of posters here on this subject

What a buffoon. Guess it really says something about this country that we’ve managed to survive both Trump and Biden.

Here’s the big takeaway:
Nobody takes Trump seriously.
Nobody takes Trump seriously.
