What is their motivation to succeed?

The whole point of a diploma is to serve as evidence of being a functional citizen. (Showing up on time, obeying the rules, incorporating knowledge and demonstrating competency.) If none of that matters, then why have schools? Why have standards? What expectation is there? This is ridiculous. No reasonable citizen should support such a cockamamie idea.

Do you ever sit and ponder why you have many of the same political alignments of these people?
If I had someone come out and say "Math, English, and the ability to read is racist", and then wreck an entire statewide education system using those beliefs, and then they say other things I agree with... I would consider that an huge alarm for some self reflection.

This isn't about kids who are already dumb; it's about preventing future generations from achieving self reliance. It's a direct attack on children to promote socialism by forcing state dependency.
