So going to CA is "international travel"?
I agree.
I agree.

Where were you and what were you doing there?

I travel quite a bit
And as much as I worry about the future of this nation, we are light years better than everywhere else.
For now

Was recently in Scotland for a couple of weeks. Life seemed so easy over there. They don't have much really, but people seemed more laid back and at ease.

I became far more nationalist after having travelled internationally than I ever was before.
Those were enjoyable experiences, but outside of appreciating history and certain foods, I’m far more entrenched to defend the traditional American ideals and political values than I was before learning most of the UK is poorer than WV and very few people I interacted anywhere (admittedly in larger cities exclusively) had any value on their personal freedoms whatsoever.
I respect them and their cultures, but outside of walking more I really saw little I wanted to bring back with me.

The only acceptable reason for a man to travel more than 250 miles from his birthplace is to go to war

I even encourage you to visit somewhere abroad that you think you might not like just to see if what you been told about that place is true.
We’re a gazilion dollars in debt. No one needs to travel anywhere to know that we shouldn’t be spending money we don’t have.
Your kind is insufferable.

i've traveled extensively and lived outside of the US. and found that there is natural beauty and great people almost everywhere.
Visiting a place won't tell you the whole story, though. You won't truly understand until you live somewhere and pay income taxes, pay property taxes, try and start a business, defend youself etc...
Going somewhere you think you'll hate is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

I don't need to travel the world to realize that America is the greatest country on earth- despite its faults. I also don't need to go to other countries to recognize our faults.
You do you, but America is the only place for me.
and yes, I've been to Cali. Beautiful state, wonderful climate, incredible natural resources. You can keep it. Good old America offers the same in lots of other places less...California.

I have circled the globe and been to many countries and I've been to all 50 states. I am grateful to God that I was born here in the U.S. If I never left the U.S. again, I'd be fine with that.
I've enjoyed living in the South, New England, the Midwest and the east coast. I found something I like in each of those places.

I’ve lived and traveled all over the planet. I even lived about 2 years in South Korea. You know most of the people who try to act superior and cultured are libtards, lol. My dad who was the smartest man I knew (educated both self/formal schooling) always said “don’t confuse education with intelligence”. His best friends were often tradesman who could fix anything. He respected these types of people over the cultural elite who thought they were better than everyone else.

You think the California coastline is ugly???
Wow, this has to be a troll or your blind.
The only coastline that I would remotely say isn’t all that is the portion that borders the military base in SoCal, I forget the name of the town, but that portion is flat and kind of blah. But it still beats the hell out of most beach areas in the country.
And then you get to LaJolla, Laguna, Newport, Santa Barbara and move north, and it’s God’s Country. Anyone that says it’s ugly, I cannot even take seriously.??

I went to. California in 2020. The land itself is beautiful. The people suck though. I told some young Latino guy at a gas station I was from Louisiana and he asked how I liked "The diversity". I responded "Never been to New Orleans, huh?" They really believe everyone from the South are a bunch of podunks. I also had some arse hat run his cart into the back of my ankle because I was wearing a American Flag hat at the grocery store. They also don't hold the door or greet each other. Hollywood Blvd was a huge disappointment and the beaches were dirty with trash and epidermic needles.

I have traveled to many, many countries and most states.
This has solidified my thought that the luckiest thing to have ever happened to me was being born in the greatest country on earth.
I admire the beauty of other countries. The history is fascinating. Many of the people are wonderful people. I love mankind.
I would not change my home country and certainly not the deep south for any other place I have been. And it is not even close. I might move to a different state in the south, but that would purely be for family along with a more advanced community.
Lastly, if one spends time abroad, watch their news stations on tv. It can be even more slanted against conservatives and the US than our own media. It is quite astonishing.

go to japan and all you will see is japanese. and that's a good thing.
super clean
very very safe
people very polite
excellent food
no tipping
reasonably priced
Right, but you don't have to travel there to know why. I've never been, I'd love to go to Japan, but it's pretty clear that a culture with those values at that scale, with that level of self-control (in some forms), embedded into a hard working, near monoculture will produce good results.
Japan can never be recreated somewhere else on this planet. And not with any other culture.
