If the USA represents all people, why not give 1 electoral vote to every county or parish?

i have advocated for that. majority of country is red. dems would be destroyed. 1 EV for each county regardless of population. That is how you get around dems stacking EVs in big states with big cities ruining it for the rest of the state. see illinois and new york and california.

I would rather states award their electoral votes IAW percentage of county/parish outcomes. Either all-or-nothing or split electoral votes.

Exactly. This land is your land, this land is our land ...... Yet it is being destroyed by those in power who represent a few large cities.

It is time to take it back. One clown said a state could create many more counties. If so, all states could create many more counties. Bring it on!!

and the red states can counter it. you lock them in with what they have now. make it federal law. make state legislatures unable to make anymore counties. I mean dems love no states rights right? see how they cried about roe v wade being kicked back to the states.

they are so far behind in counties they will not be able to make enough especially if we match them tit for tat.

Would probably be a much better system that we have now but it aint never going to happen because We The People gave away all our power to control government.

I’d rather go full nuclear - until corrupt Marxist states like California and Washington state can fix their obvious corrupt rampant voting their citizens forfeit their right to vote.

what needs to happen...

1) each States EC votes should be split by county/parish based simply off population. Votes should be by 100ths of a EC but add up to be the same as now. Each country/parish gets at least 1/100th of a EC. This allows each country to have a say.

2) we dont auto give all a states EC to the popular vote winner

3) this also stops the worry about new counties and parishes because you still have the same total amount of EC votes per state, just now its broken up.

doing this and making it break down like that gives everyone a much bigger voice and doesnt allow a couple big cities determine the whole election.

The system as is works.

Just need to clean up the census, voter lists and ensure 1 person, 1 vote and eliminate this bundled, mail in voting bullshite.

splitting it up works much bettter

and i would argue since the states passed the all votes go to national popular vote winner that the system now is broken

even before...why would the EC votes for each state not be split based off % of vote? the system now encourages the Dems stack states with immigrants that traditionally vote blue.

Bring it, bruh. So we end up with 12,000 +/- counties and parishes. That is a lot of Sheriffs, administrators, and courthouses, tax collectors, and clerks of courts. That is just to name a few.

Get real!!

Because the popular vote is already watered down enough with the EC. To do it via county/parish/township, with no regard for population of said county/parish/township would just tell people their vote does not matter in Presidential elections at all.

Because Texas and California would choose every election then.

This works better. Nebraska somewhat does this with Omaha getting its own.

Oh my my. What a two way street I now envision. To continue the status quo with regard for state population would just tell the people in less populated states, counties or parishes their vote does not matter in Presidential elections at all.
