Ranks right up there with racism, global warming, transgenders, etc.

I dont believe the majority of "suburban mothers" believe abortion is a good thing.

It is a very important issue to liberal women, don't underestimate that, it is probably more important to them than the economy, the boarder, crime.

it is never about if it is good or not. It is about whether a woman should have autonomy over her own body.

You probably didn't feel it was overblown for single issue voters the other way for all those people trying to ban abortions(and still trying for nation wide bans).

It's a marginal factor.

It was big in '22. Mostly just big in turning out morons but big nonetheless.

You are missing the point, which is that the majority of politically unattached suburban women are against more restrictions on abortion.

There are two types of suburban woman about whom no one cares what they think - those who are definitely voting for Trump and those who are definitely voting for Biden. Those just need to be turned out to vote. Most fanatics miss this obvious point, that winning a Presidential election is about energizing the base and CONVINCING the middle.

In Blue states, women can still kill their babies. It's not that big a deal. In Red states, most women think abortion is killing a child. So, moot point.

It is a state issue.

Those who think it's the only issue are too lazy to change policy on a state level and instead have Daddy do it as they have for everything else in their lives.

Democrats are glad you think that.

It does reduce the sum of the libtard population... but then, they'll just import all of the 3rd world, so I guess it doesn't matter.

The right FAFO on this issue. It arguably cost them a shot at the Michigan governor. That said, it's been settled now in places like Michigan and Ohio and the Dems pretty much just have the national abortion ban paranoia to stir up women.

It's not an issue to me, personally, at all.

The blowback from Dobbs is having a large political impact, though.

They dont think its a "good thing". They want the option if something goes horribly wrong in the pregnancy. You guys can put you head in the sand an not believe this true but its going to bite Republicans in the arse for some time.

it's a fringe issue at best... most of the women who fervently care won't need to worry about it

This has nothing to do with it. They view abortion as another form of birth control. >99% of abortions are because the woman simply doesn't want the baby. It is a losing political issue for the right though, and this is not a platform any Republican politician should run on, at least for the near future.

imagine watching the world collapse around you and giving a shite about abortion.

abortion should be buried somewhere below a mile of other things our government needs to solve

I was addressing the OP' suburban moms point. Married suburban white women...the ones everyone thinks will have a big impact on the election...arent using abortion as birth control or view the issue that way. Other demographics (younger unmarried women) may see it that way but older married house wives all know someone that had a difficult pregnancy. Is the fear warranted....that a fair question but perception is reality.
