Arkansas and it fans really need to step out of the small circle of names that are recycled every time the job opens. This is part of the reason why the program is where it is.

The offense is lackluster inside the 20, Bring back Dan Enos. He implodes, Arkansas can't afford to make the change, so snag up Petrino form the unemployment line.

It doesn't make sense to recycle names from the worst period in program history of guys associated with Bert, Chaggy, and Pittman.

It sucks that Nutt and Petrino were micromanaging control freaks who only hired assistants less than them, so none of those guys are viable options.

A past connection was great when you had competent options out there from the Broyles and Holtz eras, but all these guys are retired or dead now.

Dragging up hot names from 20 years ago isn't going to move the needle either.

The opportunity for the splash hire was the past 3 hires, things are so far down you need competence. Cigniti didn't even ripple the water, but he knew what he wanted to do, how he wanted to do, and how to achieve his goals.

Wins will do more for NIL than a "big name" ever would. Talent evaluation and coaching still has an impact, look at Kentucky and Ms State this year. They do not have that much more money in the roster than Arkansas.

This isn't a talent problem, underperforming your talent level compared to competition had been an issue at Memphis since Norvell left for FSU. Everyone knew this but Hunter Yurachek.

He did and the fanbase was intrigued about him since he went to school at Fayetteville HS. His dad was DC here back in the day etc.

But Hunter had Arkansas the first SEC job open and only Silverfield tanked his teams season so he was available to be the last SEC hire made. Hunter wasnt willing to wait until after the playoffs for a Wommack or any other coach at a school in the playoffs to be full time.

He managed the decline of Memphis, accomplishing that doesn't mean he will manage the elevation of Arkansas as a program.

Hunter did Memphis a favor in hiring a coach they wanted rid of. He tried to do the same favor for Clemson but was not able to secure the funding for Dabo.

Hunter has done many favors for other programs while doing his best to work against Arkansas in the process.

Arkansas allegedly raised over 35 for football, but then it come out only 25 was available?

But hey we're are top 3 in the league in Men's basketball, baseball, women's golf, men's track, women's track, softball, and 8th in women's basketball.

So we know where the donations people made to football ended up, but no one is stepping up to take credit for the decision.

The director cup standing banners pasted in the football stadium may be a hint.

And? Arkansas made a very mediocre aggy team look like title contenders last night.

Football is about to go 0fer in the SEC for the 4th time in 8 years. They will be going into next year with a 21 game SEC losing streak, back to back 2-10 records.

How much worse could it be?

Hunter ran to the national media guys and put in their ears the fanbase was upset of the losses by Silverfield.

He left the Utah game early and fluff pieces popped up the next day from the media guys he used.

He didn't mention that he had interviewed for every P4 and conference front office job open the past 6 years. He's effectively quit on the job while drawing a check. More of his time is spent in real estate adventures than doing his actual job.

Hes been selling the BOT that everything has been fine in football since it has continued to be profitable.

Let's say this is part of their masterplan, nothing has been stated or explained to the fanbase how it fits into their plan.

Hunter Yurachek ducked out of the yearly touchdown club public appearance Q&A and has not posted on twitter in over a month.

When asked about the BOTs public statement that the state of the football program was being reviewed, he responded with he knew nothing of it.

All the talk about how Arkansas doesn't have the roster to compete is disregarding that Hunter promised that Arkansas would be "upper half" in funding this season, when in fact they were again dead last in football funding.

Then the fanbase learns that all the millions Silverfield raised after he was hired was not allowed to be used by the football program this season and was put into the general operation fund with Silverfield and the donors having no idea where the money went and/ if it was used.

The only public comments Hunter gives is centered around the theme it is the fans fault and they do not donate enough.

No one here wanted Silverfield outside of Hunter Yurachek.

The gotcha of him sucking isn't the burn you may think it is, it was expected the day he was hired.

Also if its truly only a money problem, look at how Hunter is tackling this problem.

With Silverfield's contract he is annually one of the lowest paid coaches in the league. Ok sounds like money supply problem on the face.

When you look at his contract, figure back of an envelope math, take into account everyone knew they would be doing it all over again in 3 years when he was announced, and Hunter agreed to pay him 10 million per year coached, that number only increases if he continues his current trajectory and is fired in the next calaneder year or so.

That doesn't scream money problems, that tells the tale of a management problem.
