Kinda hoping Mateos is retained, Arkansas guy and one of the top grades for oline this year with less talent than most of the sec.

The line really carried the offense this year.
It's because initial reaction was/is Hunter made the worst hire in the cycle for the second time in a row for him and third time in a row for the program.

Time will tell, but you have media ranking Silverfield last behind Stein and Golding. Stanford is the only P4 program to make a worst hire than Hunter so for this cycle according to them.

This is why they were protesting, Hunter hired the one guy glossed over for 60 days as being an unserious candidate and the same guy least wanted by the majority of the fanbase with names reportedly available.

This works if you are the smartest guy in the room, Hunter is rarely in a room by himself for this to be true.
That had to do more with Hunter and being a fricktard that he is.

You have the locks media spending four days hyping up a guy who signs with Auburn in the search the follows with the guy signing with Ole Miss.

Most disturbing phrase used in the presser was "legitimate NIL" translation is Hunter thinks the NCAA is going to have a control over and say what is legitimate or not.

This is the problem every team in the SEC has vacated wins somewhere in their history while Arkansas continues to follow the rules, this doesn't work when you are the only one doing so.

Second topic over looked was the university had to reallocate funds to meet maximum revenue share total for football. Meaning they were not at the maximum before hand, sucks but all the Olympic sports will have to cut back just like they do every where else in the P4 conferences. Glossed over was that the reallocation occurred after donations were secured to make up the short fall elsewhere.

These two topics demonstrated everything that is wrong with the program, the mindset behind it and why you have students protesting when a hire is made outside of the home run hire that didn't exist in this cycle.

Yes and the camera angle showed the swap.

Yes and I haven't followed recruiting or signing days since, until today.

It somehow topped Trooper Taylor and Gus falling over each other in celebration as an auburn signing was shown on a 28" TV in a hallway.
It's a pet peeve us his he's talked about it several times.

On the other hand that is the best team in the state of Kentucky.

Just glad he didn't fake repell from the ceiling while some generic 90s dance techno was blairing for his first NSD.
You have to wonder, when Lane was stranded on the tarmac by SC after he abandoned Tennessee, if he was thinking in that moment he would ever again have a regionally coveted job.
They gave up 96 to this random team?

Defensive is optional I guess .

Nice win over BC in OT.

You guys should take a look at NC States coach, already turning that program around making it a game at the toughest place to play in west Georgia.

So what your saying is if he's the next Gundy, and if Silverfield is the first impression, Arkansas can easily pick up Morris when needed.
Really need Knox to step up to end of season Knox from last year.
Memphis projected starter at QB is entering the portal, I would imagine you would see more enter and likely come here to fill some gaps on the roster.

All SEC first teamers? Probably not. Serviceable depth? Most likely. Upgrades at their positions? Plausibly.
Yes/No.

I don't think Arkansas is going to outbid the rest of the sec/nation for impact ready D-Line, O-Line, LBs.

That is what is so frustrating about Sam giving up on instate recruiting, I get it they will need to be developed and that takes time, but take the defense this year, would it not be beneficial to have a warm body than no-body for depth on the Dline? Because that is where we were. LB? Same.

Arkansas at worst produces depth in the positions, with development you will have Oline men and Dline men who are SEC capable as Juniors/Seniors. You would think if your put 2-3 years effort in a HS Arkansas kid they would be more likely to stay than your odds of out bidding the rest of the nation for an equal player.

I could be wrong, Pittman never tested this theory, instead he was spending in the portal on guys on bad G5 and at the FCS level.
To be introduced.

He is literally in the student section handing out free slim chickens to the students right now.

He was hyping them up outside earlier.
Some one up there took notes on all the good Muss did before he ever coached a game.

At the time it was pretty unheard for any of the big three coaches to attend the other sports games and if they did it was made to be not much of a big deal.
I was curious about the percentages since there had been a lot of talk about the 9 game sec schedule + P5 game meaning bowl games would be hard.

Depending on the P5 opponent Silverfield would have to be slightly better than Sam in conference to make a bowl game every year.
That considered, Bert and Sam dropped dropped games they never should have in the non-con amd making a bowl in those seasons wasn't unrealistic at the time.

If Hunter would stand up to Sankey instead of allowing Arkansas to be fricked by the SEC every chance they get in scheduling it would help.
