What if they just believe they are right?

You’re optimistic that the system works but all evidence says it doesn’t. What you should be is pissed off.

If we're being honest, those who repeat nothing will happen to the Dim and leftist crooks who have schemed against Trump from 2015-2025 have a good reason to do so because so far nothing has happened.
On the other hand many on the left were saying Trump and those in Trump's orbit are going to prison, so far those on the left have been closer to matching their claims. We saw hundreds of J6 protestors, Paul Manafort, Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro incarcerated and many other MAGA types wrapped up in bogus investigations that cost tens of millions of dollars in legal fees .....so far not one Dim of note has been incarcerated for their schemes and lies.

And it's not just that, it's how those honest differences of opinion have been responded to here. Not "I think you're wrong, here's why", although there's always some of that. No, the vocal majority responded with "cuck" and drooled into their energy drinks and talked about how brave they were. They were utter twats about it, and that's going to generate a lot more "I told you so" posts than it otherwise would have.

I felt the same way about everytime someone posted a poll predicting trumps victory, someone had to throw out the “What about the ensuing fraud? Wait until the mail ins!” shite.
Those frickers never owned it either after being wrong.

Bannon served a 4 month prison sentence for contempt of congress.
How many times has that occurred with a leftist and the Republicans have done nothing?

The people who show up in every thread about political corruption just to remind us all that it’s hopeless. They think they’re being the adults in the room, the sober realists, but really, they’re just defeatists.
Call it what you want but Hannity, Ingrahm, Bongino, etc broke me with the daily reveal of breaking news that never went anywhere. Every show was red meat tray just to get us mad so we would tune in again tomorrow. Add to that the do nothing Congress investigations and the bold Capitol Hill interviews where nothing happened as a result.
I quit watching broadcast news after the 2020 election and have never felt more free. I do still have hope that now that Trump has control again that somebody will actually go to trial. But Iam not going to waist my time watching this dribble out in the news.
I will say this I usually dont come in these threads just to say nothing will happen. I usually just stay out of the comments.

Kevin Clinesmith was caught outright lying. as an assistant AG, about the response from the CIA about Carter Page working with them in order to help justify a FISA warrant so the Obama administration could better spy on a candidate for the opposition party.
He was found guilty and got a sentence of 12 months of probation and 400 hours of community service and he's the only person to have been prosecuted over this whole debacle.
Saying "nothing will ever happen" isn't being defeatist, it's simply acknowledging reality. It could change, but the likelihood is that it will not.

I get it. Contrarians who are contrarian for the sake of being contrarian get old. At the same time, I’m tired of nothing happening.
I usually keep quiet about things unless something prompts me to say something about a particular issue. I’m getting really tired of free beer tomorrow, though.

As far as facts are concerned, at least 1/2 of the country(probably more, depending on the issue) doesn’t agree with the agenda of the prevailing views on this board. MAGA is not universally
popular. There was about one percentage point separation in the 2024
election, and there is even more disparity when it comes to specific policies and goals… this diversity of thought is present throughout the culture and has an effect on government,
whether among Congress, bureaucracy
or the judiciary. Hence, there is resistance to bending the law or established norms in order to accommodate the more radical goals of the MAGA movement or this administration.

On June 3, 2017, while employed by the military contractor Pluribus International Corporation, Winner was arrested on suspicion of leaking an intelligence report about Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections from the National Security Agency (NSA) to the news website The Intercept. The report indicated that Russian hackers accessed voter registration rolls in the United States with an email phishing operation,[10] though it was unclear whether any changes had been made.

Sometimes it's the only reply for at least a page.
And then Matt Walsh says the same thing with some level of intelligence and that becomes its own celebratory thread.

These people will all ultimately pay for their crimes and sins. I have ZERO doubt about that

And the idea that even 50% of the country supported that is countered by the fact that your progressive party lost, and lost hard.
You, and those like you who support the Democratic Party and hold progressive ideals, should sit out any conversation pertaining to “bending the law or established norms”.
Hell, most people warned you guys that going after a former president would open doors you cannot close.

It's all about coping. If you stop getting your hopes up when nothing happens you won't feel so defeated. If something happens you will be unbelievably pleasantly surprised.
