If you can build a large enough following, you can generate some money from X. Not a huge amount, mind you. But if you come from a piss poor area where prices are bottom of the barrel, you don’t need much.

A lot of people around the world have realized that they can earn a viable living by spoon feeding American partisans (on both side of the isle) exactly what they want to see on X.

I don't know about everyone else, but I like for my bullshite propaganda to be made right here in the USA.

Why doesn't he do it for all influencers? Maybe include the ones getting paid, including himself.

Absolutely! Foreign agents know they can't counter the US militarily. They DO know they can shape opinion and public opinion through social media (twitter, Facebook, tiger droppings, etc) and bring the country down from within without firing a shot.

Twitter location is a game changer

That's what I'm curious about. VPNs are pretty shitty if they can't even prevent X from seeing through them.

I asked our AI overlord itself, Grok, that very question. Here was the answer;

quote:

To address VPNs specifically—which can mask your real IP and potentially spoof location—X doesn't rely solely on the visible IP (which a VPN alters). Instead, it cross-references multiple signals for detection, including:Account creation details: The original IP geolocation and app store country at signup, which are harder to fake retroactively without creating a new account.
Device and network patterns: Inconsistencies in connection history, such as frequent IP hops across countries that don't match typical user behavior (e.g., sudden jumps between continents without logical travel).
Partner data: X collaborates with third-party services (like IP intelligence providers) to flag known VPN/proxy exit nodes, data center IPs, or residential proxies often used for evasion.

And I'd be willing to bet there are a lot that are more than 1 year old. They are just flooding the sphere with misinformation to cover it up.

There are bot farms everywhere that only sow discontent. Does Harry think he’s found out something new?

It's all about fomenting strife and discord among the American populace. The accounts making these posts are actually supportive of neither political side of American politics, they simply wish to stir the pot as much as humanly possible.
