For as many things that we suck at, running a smooth election isn’t one of them.

We don’t. Why do you think Nola and BR always wait until last to report numbers? We have dominion machines and they have been cheating in every parish for decades. St Tammany had the most frickery in 2020.

FL has the best by far…. All are reported at the same time.

I think Florida wins this prize since 2000. A lot more people and they will have the vote count ready minutes after the polls close.

Lafayette Parish has these huge arse iPad looking computers. Pretty cool.

But Lafayette Parish is run by Republicans, so no need to cheat.

You walk up.

Hand your license to one old lady.

She reads your name out loud so the other two old ladies at the table can write it down.

A fourth old lady shows you where to sign and then points you to the old man standing beside the voting booths.

Old man then points you to a voting booth.

You vote.

You go home pretty confident they got your vote.

I've never had an issue with LA voting. Takes me all of 5 minutes and most everything is extremely simple.

I had no issues voting today in Texas. Just showed my ID, they scanned scanned it to verify registration and gave me a code to go vote at one of the terminals. Plenty of places to vote in town so no really long lines. It was as effortless as possible. And I wasn't in the greatest area of town.

As it should be everywhere.

There is no excuse for hours/days to count

The ballots are scanned by machines.
Even France can report their election within an hour or so after their polls close.

Exactly like TD said all the way down to the gender. Most of the ole gals are friends and neighbors. We always vote early so not rushed and can visit with them as we go through. No what yall call race in our lil town just neighbors and friends out to vote no other divisions needed. The way it should be every where

I don't think there is a statewide election that's tight enough that the Orleans Parish machine can swing this time. They usually "count" late into the night after all other parishes have turned in their results and somehow miraculously supply the DemocRats with the votes to put them over the top in toss up races.

Couldn't possibly have anything to do with the population in those two cities I'm guessing.

That's exactly it. Except you left out one thing. As you walk out you notice the table against the wall with cake and cookies for the old ladies when they take a break. It's always there.

Not in NOLA. Those MFers can't count votes timely for sheit. How convenient. Go figure.

Dominion thanks you for trusting their super-secret algorithm.

Louisiana's banana republic status, upheld.

You have zero assurance that your ballot was cast the way you intended. You have zero assurance that results reflect the will of the voters. You have zero assurance that all votes were from valid voters.

There is no ability to audit results.

It's convenient. It's not good. Valuing convenience over validity is retarded level stupid.

Sadly we are looking like we are getting ballot marking devices and centralized tabulation going forward. Pretty much exactly what the bad actor counties had in 2020. That was the result of tons of hours and testimony at the elections commission this past year. It is in Ardoins hands now and they seemed to have made their minds up prior to the commission. He knows way too much to walk this path as an honest mistake. It will be total BS if this is where we go. He could surprise me and not go heavy with the committees suggestion for BMDs. If he gives us something good, I'll happily help his campaigns going forward. This is the exact moment we find out what he is.

And I agree, short of the absence of vote specific paper trails, the procedures in LA are currently top notch in my opinion.

For no reason you can point to or audit. Your confidence is based on nothing tangible.

Dominion is cheating like a mofo in Republican areas. See St Tammany,

They’ve been slowly adding fake democrats in these areas over the years so that it’s not noticeable.

St Tammany is very conservative and had the most unusable activity in 2020. Most people are still very unaware of this agenda and what’s going on. Which is intentional.

Sure they can… they’re just waiting for everyone else to report so they know how many ballots they need to produce
