re: Anyone familiar with Bent Creek Lodge in Alabama?

Mr Leo and Mr Johnny were very nice gentleman. Shot my first doe and buck there. They went heavy on the 1st deer blood thing.
I’m sure Mr Scout and the kitchen ladies have passed on. But they took good care of me as a young fella.
Ha! We may be the same person. This was my exact experience, early 1990s. Scout was my guide also. I heard that he passsed away quite a few years ago. Bulldozed a button buck at 30 yards with a 30-06 for my first deer. I returned there just one other time, either the next year or year after.
Bonus: Remington had some ammo research guys there at the same time, testing new loads. I left there with a box of 12 ga. slugs and some 140gr, 270win extended range.

As for not trusting Rubio, I’m one who remembers the gang of 8 and his abysmal performance in the 2016 primary debates.
10 years is not a long time, but it is a long time. In those 10 years, many things previously suspected have been proven true. DJT's first presidency, Covid, mass illegal immigration, blatant socialist / communist political actions, the media's willful propaganda, pharmaceutical corruption, fraud exposure, insider stock trading, tax dollar money laundering are just a few things that have become more blatant and obvious in that period. I think and hope that Marco Rubio has evolved as a result.

Because the world wants to go to MOBILE for Mardi Gras?
That's called a food bank, not a grocery store.
re: New study reveals political affiliations of pro athletes

There are a lot more plumbers, car salesman, nuses and teachers out there than pro athletes. Strange study. Imagine how insignificant the pro athlete's vote is.

The relationship between LSU and OM fans has never been great, but when you add the Kiffin situation (his texting, alleged tampering and stealing OM players) and you bring two of the most passionate fans bases, who love their alcohol and guns, things could get ugly real fast.
An overwhelming majority of these people are Christian conservatives. They genarally don't fall into the hissy-fit violence group.
I think this is BS and a way for Golding to lay blame elsewhere. Even if this guy is correct, and Lane Kiffin is planting the seeds, do they really believe that any of these NIL deals are confidential and that players don't talk about them? What freaking world are they living in? I bet these kids can't wait 5 minutes before they're talking about how much $ they're making.
Reliable source in the Louisiana basketball community with connections to McNeese say that CWW will be back in BR.
A pear shaped coach.
re: Do you like cheering for a new team every year?

It can still be saved, but the P5 conference will have to act, probably independently of the NCAA. NIL may actually be the smallest problem.
Here is the order of importance and urgency, IMO.
1. Reform the recruiting & transfer calendars. This is the biggest problem IMO but the one that can be fixed the quickest.
2. Reform the Transfer Portal with limitations (the when, the quantity, the frequency). Create meaningful and enforceable tampering rules (players and coaches). G5s need some sort of roster protection for player retention.
3. Create a dead period for coaching hires that extend beyond the playoffs.
4. Reform NIL rules, collectives and revenue sharing.
5. Reform the CFP playoff and bowl games. This may require a P5/G5 split for playoff purposes.

I think that they are way overestimating their influence in new conservative politics.

The lack of awareness is stunning.
The Democrats think of themselves and democracy as a "common good" party, hanging their hat on entitlements, authoritarianism (see example: COVID), and the only freedoms that they actually care about, sexual deviance, denying being mentally ill, and their blessed abortion. They will shite on the constitution to achieve all of their goals.
The GOP on the other hand correlates democracy with God given freedoms and the constitution even though they sometimes shite on the constitution as well (see example: Patriot Act).
The Democrat Party serves those with accountability aversion.

How do you prevent rampant unwanted children like w welfare babies? Honest question.
It's 2 kids, not 5, man. It just penalizes the childless cat ladies and squirrely bros by having them pay taxes.
If this was the opposite, Dems would definately say that they had a mandate (or a themdate, harhar). Remember that most of these politicians are attorneys with egregiously disingenuous motives. There is never a moment when they consider telling the truth as an option when the truth is not in their favor. They are formally trained in the art of gaslighting.
