I did it at 28 years old to correct an astigmatism. It was well worth the $2,500 spent in 2004. It eliminated the need for glasses and contacts for 20 + years. I am now 48 and just started wearing glasses again. The surgery corrects defects in the cornea improving vision, but it cannot stop eyes...
