Social credit scores have nothing to do with credit history but rather your wokeness and then your abilities to participate in the system of their makings or not

With Carney being supposedly so adept at world banking, he should be the first to know how royally F'ed Canada is vs the US in any kind of trade
Maannnn,
Ain't none that shite matter to Carney. He's there to ride that gravy train as far as he can and get his. Currently his net worth is about 7 million usd. Let's see what it is in a few years or the money deals he gets when his time is up.

I hope he's prepared for the Great Tariffing and the loss of automakers in Canada

Credit scores in China have interesting consequences. Bad score = you can't take a trip out of town. Terrible score = you can't leave your house. Worst score = you mysteriously disappear.

Canada (to me) ranks way down on the list, in other words we need them far less than they need us.
Canada is high on that list. They have abundant energy and abundant other natural resources, like timber and minerals. They could not be autarkic because of a lack of scale, but they would have plenty to trade for what they need. They are certainly well behind America but ahead of most other countries should they be forced to be self-reliant.

Anytime there is a program labeled as The Great Something (ex. Great Society) by the government at any level, it typically doesn't end up being Great.
You mean the famine caused by the Great Leap Forward wasn't great?

That's an understatement.
It almost exclusively ends up being a total dumpster fire on a train wreck.

Nah, other countries aren't 100% globalists. Just look at Romania. People are fighting back and will continue to do so. Heck, I bet a lot of Chinese hate their government, even with the propaganda
Ok, let's start a list of countries that aren't 3rd world and aren't also globalist.
1. The Conservative Right in the US (and not even all of them)
2. Argentina
3. The resistance movement trying to break through in Romania
4. ????

Simple solution...
SEC needs to enact a rule that the directors and officers of any company that utilizes ESG will be presumed in breach of their fiduciary duties in any shareholder actions brought against them.
Additionally, companies will be given a three (3) month (one fiscal quarter) safe harbor period to get rid of it and in failing to do so, they will be delisted.
It will be gone with a quickness.

The german right wingers, Hungary, the Canadian right wingers etc.
The point was that these countries aren't globalist monoliths, in the same way you're pointing out that the US isn't a conservative monolith.

I do not want the U.S. to annex Canada.
I don't even want it to be one of our territories.
Perhaps we could just lease it ?

Umm... "do you pay your bills on time" is NOT the same thing as "what are your thoughts on trannies and gays, what are you doing to prevent global warming and don't you think guns are very, very bad"
The structures of our society value paying bills on time more than ideological positions. I know this is hard for people to believe because the culture war bullshite we get inundated with on a daily basis to drive political partisanship. Hell, look at all the "cancelled" people out there. They sure are on the news somewhere talking about how they were cancelled and getting books published to talk about it too.

Time to start charging Canadians that come to the US for healthcare double and raise property taxes on those that have winter homes in the south. Make Canadian citizens feel the pain for the leadership they elect.
