The office of the POTUS is created by name directly in the US constitution. There is an entire article (article 2) about the powers invested in the office of the president and what role he plays in the larger scheme of the government.

It's "funny" to me that the most narcissistic posters here, who have egos bigger than Texas, all seem to find each other and, for the most part, they tend to support and defend each other.
I'm not Chat GPT, but I'm pretty astute when it comes to the matter of possessing good old-fashioned discernment.

Continuously? That’s a bit of a stretch. I am excited that someone with some authority or access to authority read my argument about this but it’s not like anything happened because of that. It just feels nice.
I don’t view this as patting myself on the back as much as showing regular citizens that there are avenues to amplify your voices. I’m not anyone special and my voice was heard so anyone else’s can be heard too.

Your letter sounds reasonable, but what is missing from it is an explanation of the point of view of those who oppose you on this. Even if you explain it just to debunk it, still you should do so.

I appreciate that you took my advice to heart but I think you've topped out at getting an agreeable office to agree with you.
The only legal path forward for having separate Clerks in Orleans parish is for the legislature to pass a law allowing it again and the Governor signing off on it. LINK

The timing of the thing certainly looks bad, but the law being correctly applied after decades of population shrink in Orleans parish (it's dropped by almost half of what it was in 1972) as well as it brining Orleans into alignment with every other parish in the state means there's no wiggle room for getting the decision overturned.
The only way you could change it back is if the state were to get a Democrat majority in the legislature AND a Democrat governor to pass a bill re-enabling the split office and then signing it into law, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
