Walker was long rumored to run. It wasn’t like Trump forced him to do it.

A Ga Tech NeverTrumper Republican actively worked against Walker by going on CNN and crying about Walker which was used in Warnock ads and probably cost Walker this close election.

So the better candidates couldn’t beat the worst candidate in Republican history in the primary.

It sounds like maybe they’re not as great a candidate as you think they are.

Let’s face it- Herschel didn’t inspire anyone. It’s a national position the voters tend to want to put their best foot forward for that.
Herschel is a hard pill to swallow for that

Republican had better start being serious about their candidates

The dems voted in Fetterman. So at the point of a rum off HW not being inspiring or the best candidate is baloney. Welcome to more votes in the Senate for Dems. Combine that with an easy to get 10 republicans and now you loose the filibuster.

Having a Trump endorsement and having great name recognition doesn't make a better candidate.

Sounds like you think the primary system doesn’t result in the best candidate winning. Hmmm.

Could that also be the case in a general election? Or is it just restricted to places where you need that statement to be true for your belief?

How did Kemp do it on the same ballot?

For starters, he spent zero minutes defending himself for flashing a fake badge and zero minutes on the all important vampire v. werewolf debate.

Why did Kemp win then?

Nobody wants to answer this question. Can't blame ballot harvesting if every other statewide GOP candidate won on the same ballot.

A candidate that can appeal to moderates and independents.

Don’t care he was a better candidate than the good reverend and our current POTUS, that’s a lazy excuse. Democrats trotted out a stroke patient and won. Stop making excuses for stupid voters

People saying this - You actually chose/preferred Warnock.

Don't be idiots, the Democrats harvest and print ballots - period.

While your points is valid, PA just "elected" a functionally retarded lifelong grifter to Senate.

Seriously, the guy looks like the mutated offspring of Shrek and Carl from Sling Blade and has the IQ of a toaster oven. And he's now a Senator-elect.

The only thing that matters is agenda and message.

The candidate is just a body. The Dems have proved that!

We need to start playing ugly politics, and it may already too late.

One of the best candidates out there was Kari Lake

LMFAO....Based on what? She was a divorced, former Kerry and Obama supporter who was a registered Democrat from 2008-2012 and has ZERO political experience. None of that appeals to traditional Republican voters.

She was an election denier with extreme right wing positions. How did that work out for all of the other similar candidates that Trump endorsed?
