It’s the same mental tyranny as “use my pronouns!”

Use the language we tell you to or else!

Offer the “thoughts and prayers!” or there will be consequences!

However, you should be really concerned that the leader of the free world, that we all put in that position with our votes if confidence, has absolutely no self control or filter.

Ok I am concerned, now what?

that is a very scary prospect with the power he wields

Look, what Trump said was awful, however, he's proven to be more savvy in international circumstances. Even "rocket man," didn't move the needle. Openly mocking both Macron and Starmer, etc. It never REALLY matters.

Could he make a bigger mistake? Sure. And he probably will, will it be earth shattering? Probably not.

quote:

You should also be concerned that the nuts on here think Trump was justified cause Reiner hurt Trump's feelings and called him names. Seriously?

They have poor morals too, but at the end of the day, why do I have to concern with all of this stuff? For the added stress?

It changes nothing.

The OP is correct.

While I don't like what he said, it's not like I'm going to turn around and vote for the pro-choice movement. So what does it actually matter?

And Reiner saying nice things about Kirk, so what? Who cares? He most likely didn't mean it, because by all accounts Kirk was a Nazi, and a f#$%^& MAGA, so it was insincere. Reiner clearly thought anyone on the right was a Nazi. That doesn't justify ANYTHING, not even Trump's words, however it also doesn't give Reiner some sort of pass either. That's why none of the empty displays of some integrity just don't matter from most of the other side. What happened was sad, as is any murder situation. Happens every day, we should say a quick prayer and move on. None of this was a big deal.

But by that logic, the left's reaction to Charlie Kirk was also acceptable.

Gotta pick one or the other of those two. Can't have 'em both.

No, I really don't have to pick one, because I understand the difference between a political assassination meant to kill free speech and an entire movement vs a guy who died because he raised a shitty drug addict son. It's really not that hard to see the differences. They're pretty obvious to me.

The motive means much more than any of you whiners are letting on.

Comparing Rob fricking Reiner to Charlie Kirk is pissing on Charlie's grave. As a conservative, I'd be embarrassed to compare a Christian, free speech advocate to a long-rumored Hollywood pedophile, but you do you.

Whats amazing it to see so many pretend Christians show they are not spiritual people over this issue.

Politics has ruined them.

No need to overstate it, but the president could have said nothing and chose instead to make vile, nonsensical comments about a double murder in a way that centered the tragedy on himself when he had nothing to do with it. In short, the president embarrassed himself.

It doesn’t mean you have to change your policy positions or start voting for Democrats. But this is an easy one. Trump screwed up.

This board, that was calling people's employers if they made a mean remark about Charlie Kirk?
Trump never said it was a good thing. He even started with mild condolences. Others CELEBRATED Kirk's murder (via a literal school shooting, no less).

I have nothing to say to the young lady, I don't know her. I have know idea of the dynamics of that family unit.

YOU insinuated that they are squeaky clean.

Surely know something the rest of us don't.

My quote was, I wouldn't be to sure about it.

I never even heard of the guy until yesterday. I could not possibly care less about his death.

Mr.and Mrs Reiner died horribly and tragically.

But the real reason why that is relevant on this forum is trump's disgusting response to it.

It will be so nice when we have have a president who is presidential once again.

Trumps going to leave the GOP a burning wreck

The gop will be fine and revive back to what it should be when the radical garbage is thrown out with trump. His creation is cracking and falling apart by the day and along with it is all perceived power he believes he has, no one is afraid of him anymore.

As his influence wanes his anger and desire to punish people who leave him grows and will continue to destroy the huge sack of shite he has created. It’s coming soon and will be caused by him and him alone and it can’t get here soon enough for the sake of our country.

Even James Wood said 'just because you disagree with people, doesn't mean you have to hate people'... so true

Oh, there it is again. We have another assertion that Trump voters lack intelligence. I scored in the superior range on an IQ test I took while attending college. I have 3 academic degrees and an honorary doctorate. I am not stupid or uneducated. I voted for Trump.

To be fair he said populist are low IQ.....not all Trump voters are populist. are you?

That’s not true either. People who self-define as populists are probably skew slightly more intelligent than the average voter.

He was a human being and father who was well-liked by many who had nothing to do with Hollywood politics. It was a horrific event.

I barely was aware of Charlie Kirk, and I was horrified by his murder...
