Why would I want to watch a gay guy in a suit vest talk about hell?

How so? There are a multitude of creatures early man probably drove to extinction. And likely with ease since these large animals had no preexisting reason to fear these strange apes. Some are really cool, actually.

Fun examples:
1. Diprotodon
2. Procoptodon
3. Ground sloth

You don't know that hell is real. You BELIEVE it is real. There is a difference. No one knows until they die. I don't believe in any of it, but I respect those who do.

Why do all of these cheesy fricks look exactly alike? Do they have a weirdo Preacher school they all attend with this type of dress code?

And can we talk about this dude hallucinating in the middle of the night? He was just walking to his kitchen and something pulled him out of his body and brought him to hell? Come the frick on. Some people are so damn gullible.

Except, Gravity didn't write (inspire the writing of) a book telling us that we have to BELIEVE in Gravity and we will only experience Gravity after we die.

I have no problem with the OP, and he means well, but warning people that God is going to send everyone to Hell doesn't work on adults. Jesus absolutely preached it, and it is like gravity in that it is the inevitable outcome of unforgiven sin, but it's not the only way to evangelize.

God requires people to believe based on the scriptures and prophecy. Saying He's going to do something then doing it years, centuries, and millennia later is amazing proof. And the proof is there.

Two events of Jesus's life, the baptism and crucifixion, have universal assent among historians, meaning all who study the historicity of Jesus accept these evens as historical.

I kind of like the odd vest look. He should ditch the tie though. And that shirt color is gross.

How many people died in the Bible went to either heaven and back or hell and back?

Jesus and the Disciples brought a few people back from the dead...they had to go somewhere and returned...Lazarus for example? Generally speaking it would have been either, prior to Christ's death, Abraham's Bosom or for lack of a better term Hell.

I watched the first 10 minutes. This dude is fantastic. He tells this story with such conviction he may actually believe what he's saying.

Just for clarification, we pretty much choose our destiny by our free will...we send ourselves to Heaven or Hell.

And yet there is no testament of being in hell or heaven from any of them, Lazarus included.

There are 4 people that had VISIONS OF HEAVEN and all 4 are so overwhelmed by the glory and magisisty of God thats all they describe.

It is wrong to preach I died went to hell and came back but Jesus is the only way. Thats asinine.

Why would God create hell?

Seems like such an Old Testament thing to do. A vengeful God with emotional needs is not to be worshipped. Why am I wrong?

I can agree with that. Jesus told the man who wanted to return from the grave to warn his family (like this video) that his family had Moses and the prophets; let the living hear them.

So you are saying that because multiple groups falsely claim to have the truth, that the truth does not exist? Well damn!

No. I am saying that the Christian dogma is no different than any other religious dogma. The story might vary, and traditions diverge (although ironically most Christian traditions are heavily influenced by astrology and paganism), but its logically equivalent. Dogma is dogma. Choosing to believe something without evidence is nonsensical.

Respectfully, I'm almost certain you don't.

But be that as it may, there was a time when I LOVED debating these things on this board, but then those discussions got banned and it was no longer fun. And to tell you the truth, as much fun as this topic is, we simply have WAAAAAAAAAAAY too many actual pressing issues in America to deal with and I have no interest in slamming a wedge between people who, for the most part, agree on the basic important parts of what keeps America great.

I'm simply saying now is a time to come together as people in the center or center right and beyond, and not look for petty bullshite to separate us while we are LITERALLY being taken over by Marxists.

Educate us then. Who were those multiple historians of the time?

Start with Josephus. A Jewish Roman Historian of the time. He was in the City of Jerusalem when it was sacked by the Romans.

Tacitus another Roman Historian

Pliny the Younger

Babylonian Talmud

Lucian

When you've never opened a book. All you have to debate with is the trash you half listened to on the history channel.

Not much of a debate ...over 2,000 years of non believers attempting to turn this into a fairy tale. None have succeeded.

You can be among the group that believed that Pontius Pilate never existed ....Until an archeological dig discovered a corner stone to a sea side mansion dedicated to Pontius Pilot in approximately 1948 ....that same discovered unearthed an award presented to a Genera for his victory in battle .....presented by Pontius Pilot. But never fear .....uninformed non believers before the 1940's went to their grave believing the story was not real because Pontius Pilot was deemed a literary figure ...
