Hell is a foolish false reality in which to build a faith on. Fear is a TERRIBLE foundation.
Imagine a dad that chose to create you, set rules up you cannot understand because you're mentally handicapped, and then punishes you for eternity in a hell he literally created to suffer forever.... because you didn't understand X.
Sell people on Jesus's love. That shite is far more persuasive to build an honest faith.
Hell is for sheep.

Is there some reason why you think this is the board for this discussion?

I think Billy Joel said it best
“They say there's a heaven for those who will wait
Some say it's better but I say it ain't
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints
The sinners are much more fun
Only the good die young”

Nobody mentioned OP believes a dude who claims a worm hole opened up in his kitchen and he telaported to a prison cell with 12' lizards?

I’d say it’s worked out pretty well for congregations.

Imagine being taught you should tell your priest you masturbate, while he’s thinking about you masturbating, then kneeling down to sing a few songs to no music, all because some chick stuck an apple in her arse while I snake banged her or whatever.

Oh of course it’s all nonsense, but for some reason suggesting you’d rather go to Hell if it actually existed riles them up more than denying its existence altogether
All Christian apologetics hinges on the presuppositions that one, everyone (including nonbelievers) believe in objective meaning and moral truth and two, everyone would side with them if only they could be convinced of their claims about God.
If you rob them of those presuppositions (i.e. existence is ultimately meaningless, all morality is subjective and even if you believed their claims about God you might choose to not embrace him) they have nothing. The entire house of cards falls apart.

What an amazing culture.
I mean, the Christian god killed children (10th plague, Noah's flood, genocide of Canaanites/Jericho, Sodom and Gomorrah, etc.). I'm not sure you're in any position to judge.
But yea, those heathens who like their dicks licked...

quote:Livin' easy
What an amazing culture.
Lovin' free
Season ticket on a one way ride
Askin' nothin'
Leave me be
Takin' everythin' in my stride
Don't need reason
Don't need rhyme
Ain't nothin' that I'd rather do
Goin' down
Party time
My friends are gonna be there too
I'm on the highway to hell
On the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
No stop signs
Speed limit
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Like a wheel
Gonna spin it
Nobody's gonna mess me around
Hey satan
Payin' my dues
Playin' in a rockin' band
Hey mumma
Look at me
I'm on the way to the promised land
I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
Don't stop me

Are you equating the two sets of lyrics?

In the book of Romans, it states that creation itself is a sign of a creator, and goes on to say, because of it, if people choose to not believe in a creator God, they are without excuse.

Pretty big difference between believing in a creator God and believing in Jesus.

The lyrics for Highway to Hell are terrible.

Abraham lived long before Jesus and was obedient, and God counted his faith as righteousness. People who lived before the Law, will be judged differently.

To lyrics to both seem pretty terrible.
