That was great. he got in a lot of good strikes but I would have preferred that hit a few foul balls, right down midfield as well you know.

Just that map of Tinian is worth good money. Although I understand no amount money can equal the value in the history passed on.
What is best to do sometimes is write as much history and information that you have on paper and keep it with the items. Even a hand written piece of paper in a uniform pocket can do so much in the future.

Edit_ What you mentioned was a "Shellback" certificate.. A navy tradition for crossing the equator going from a pollywog to shellback. This usually had the date, ship name and reason... The usually just put things like "To kick the japs butt" etc..

Maybe. I've never met one.
Without the turban how would you recognize him as a Sikh? It might be possible to differentiate between South Asian accents but I know I can't reliably tell Indian accents from Pakistani accents much less identify a Sikh.
