The people on this board follow politics. We know who the candidates are and what their positions are.

Most on this board are capable of two step thinking such as inflation is hurting me, inflation is caused by an increase in money supply.

Compare this to the average voter who doesn’t know the positions and policies of the candidates and are not not smart enough to do two step thinking so they say “Inflation is bad and Harris said she will lower it.”

The people who follow politics don’t swing elections. Elections are swung by people who watch the news an hour a week. This is where the media’s propaganda lifts Harris and hurts Trump.

Sadly, right now it looks like Harris will win. But Harris is also at her peak right now and the more people pay attention to her the more her numbers will drop.

I'll acknowledge she is the favorite, but the betting line would be something like Harris -125 and Trump + 110. I wouldn't call that comfortable. It's not far from a "pick it".

Mi said comfortable when I should have said clear. I agree with that.

Sadly yes.
80% of the population is in urban areas.....nearly all dominated with woke undertones.

As the left lurches progressively left with the underpinnings of the media and education system the sheep get dragged along.

Unless they are independent thinkers that can see through the gaslighting.

Rare.

Republicans are culturally completely marginalized

but having a media that echoes "joy" about a dem's campaign is a huge advantage.

It is.

Conservatives invested in the wrong institutions decades ago. Church isn't amplifying that message the same way the media/academia are today.

In fact, the Left was so smart and successful at picking the right institutions, they've started to take over the ones the right did invest in. Church, C-suites, suburbia, etc. all trending more DEM lately.

Trump has the strongest 40% base of all time, and he can’t get out of his own way with the 10-12% that matters.

This is what a great many of us are concerned about. Hardcore MAGA isn't enough to win a national election. All those neocons and RINOS that MAGA hates so much HAVE to vote and HAVE to vote for Trump or we will have our first woman and first intellectually challenged President.

If really true then Trump really only was acceptable to 40 something% of the population.

Trump has never polled or received votes showing even a simple majority of Americans want him to be president. That has not changed. The democrats just had to run someone other than a ham sandwich.

allowed the GOP to shed some orthodoxy (like fiscal responsibility re: spending)

They shed those way before Trump became President. The last President to actually have a little fiscal responsibility was Bill Clinton, sad to say.

So who was it that he gained in 2020? About 5 million more than the black messiah ever got.

They are seeing the same manipulation that we see. As phony as it is democracy’s believe in the propaganda as fact. Wait until the DNC honeymoon is over and drops like a brick.

You were running a ham sandwich, now you're running just 2 pieces of bread placed together. No substance.

The good thing is those urban areas are concentrated in states that are already for Kamala… hence why she needs to win the popular vote by 2.5 points to win the electoral college… she could run up the score in Cali and New York when all she has to do is win them by 1 vote
