Ordinarily, that would probably mean that they were 11-1 for guilt, but the fact that the defense lawyer was screaming for removal obviously means that HE thinks it's 11-1 for not guilty.
Clearly he knows more about it than we do.
If that note really said exactly what's being reported, then it's tough to imagine how it would mean 11-1 in favor of guilt. If they're saying only one juror is dissenting and that this person "won't follow the rules of reasonable doubt", then that suggests to me that the rest of them are going with reasonable doubt (innocent), and one is not, and they're upset that this person won't agree. Hopefully I'm wrong and reading that backwards, but I don't get that impression.
This makes me mad for two reasons: First is obviously that it's outrageous that anyone, let alone 11 of the 12 jurors could find her innocent. But I also think it's bull crap that they're trying to get this juror removed on the basis that he/she won't follow the rules. Who says this juror is not following the rules, simply because the person doesn't agree with the others? Aren't jurors supposed to think for themselves? No one can have a dissenting opinion without being accused of not understanding or following rules?
What reasonable doubt is there? We know she did it. The only question is whether she was insane or not (which shouldn't be allowed as a defense in my book), but there is no indication that she was insane. She had mental problems, but not psychosis. You can't just kill your kids and say "I was depressed and stuff". That's not nearly a defense for murder.

Because if you are "insane" enough to kill someone, you are dangerous and shouldn't walk free. And I'm not ok with just sticking them in a mental facility, because too many people can fake being crazy to fool a jury.
I will never believe that any person is actually crazy to the point of not knowing what they're doing. You have to be on some serious drugs to be that detached from reality, in which case, you're culpable for doing the drugs that made you crazy.

If tweet fails to load, click here. And to whoever questioned the DNA evidence. DNA matched fingerprints weren't found on exercise band.
Can someone find the court testimony clip on DNA?

The defense lawyer demanding in open court the juror be replaced. AND his media comments are intimidation or normal defense of his client?

UPDATE
Is it in normal protocol that the defense attorney said live on court 11 are at not guilty with one man holding out?
Did i hear that correctly on TV LIVE?
Also is the defense lawyer not going to be admonished for his comments to live media pools?
Is the State so far gone legally, to not order the jury sequestered, and defense telling the media he kicked the shite out of the prosecution?

UPDATE
This is literally a video of a judge allowing a lawyer to tell him how to run his own court room, and then apologizing for not doing it up to the lawyer’s standards.
What the frick is going on?

Right. I kept expecting the judge to tell him he was way out of line and flirting with disaster.
Also, when he starts talking about a juror and what he found out, why is the judge not asking, why did he get that info from a juror? Why was it not sent to the judge?
Folks, this is why you shouldn't be for the death penalty. Just imagine you are wrongly accused and this kind of shite is happening with a jury of your "peers".

We have extremely liberal Obama appointed judges blocking the President of the United States on his every move, good or bad.
None of this surprises me. Liberals have wet themselves for these moments for 20+ years now. They always intended to manipulate and control courts at every level knowing they'd eventually lose the SCOTUS.

I did jury duty on a murder trial in 2025. Open and shut case. The defense attorney did an outstanding job, but NOTHING trumps DNA evidence. Our “deliberations” consisted of wondering why this wasn’t a death penalty case in the first place. Took us 45 minutes to return a guilty verdict and we could have done it in 4.5 minutes. Nice thing about it is that I don’t have to worry about jury duty ever again since I’m over 65 years old.

Saw this posted on X. It is from Robert Bork's book "Slouching Towards Gomorrah: Modern Liberalism and American Decline" (1996)
Seems accurate
quote:
A fragmented society, one in which a sense of community has disappeared, is necessarily a society with low morale. It displays loss of nerve, which means that it cannot summon the will to suppress public obscenity, punish crime, reform welfare, attach stigma to the bearing of illegitimate children, resist the demands of self-proclaimed victim groups for preferential treatment, or maintain standards of reason and scholarship. That is precisely and increasingly our situation today.
Seems accurate

Mistrial
The murder trial of Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy ended in a mistrial after the jury became hopelessly deadlocked. Judge William Sullivan declared the mistrial following 36 hours of deliberations spanning seven days
