I understand you’re mad at Trump over the whole Iran thing. I get that. What I’m curious about though is what is it that you believe the Democrats you help retake both houses of Congress will do now that they’re in power? And how will the actions they take improve the lives of the average American citizen?

This isn’t a troll or wanting to argue. I’m genuinely curious as to what it is the voters who crossed back to (D) expect now.

Trump at his worst is still better than Biden at his best. They just don’t understand that. Get ready for transgender story hour at every local public school.

I held my nose and voted for letlosi but I felt like a cuck doing it

That may have been the only time I’ve ever voted for a woman and I hate Trump for making me go against my God given principles

Did not vote D, but voted 3rd party down the ticket.

Maybe at least Dems can give us sensible student loan reform so I can afford the price of everything else that has been fricked

I’m not sure there’s many people on this board that fit your criteria. But you’ll find a lot of us who’ve been sounding the alarm since the start of this term. We got shouted down as panicans. We saw this coming and tried to voice our displeasure. Trump is done and we have to regroup and figure a way out of this hole he has dug.

What makes you think 2 more years of this would have made things better? Was there any evidence of that?

Why would they do this now when they had both houses of Congress and the White House and did nothing?

Because he didn’t do anything he said he would, and he did a very dumb thing he said he wouldn’t.

At that point, anyone who supported him in the past sees no reason in trying, or is willing to give the other side a shot.

What’s your degree in, how many years were you in college, how much do you owe…if you don’t mind sharing?

If by "sensible student loan reform" you mean doling out more loans for many people that should never have been in college in the first place and use their loans to get their hair and nails did, then you're in luck.

Where did I say it would make anything better?

What evidence is there the Democrats will do anything to make things better? That’s what I’m asking.

So, you didn’t vote for the Democrats, instead you voted against Trump?

OK. What is it you believe the Democrats will do that will benefit us?

To me it makes no sense to keep people in power who have failed on every promise they made in the name of the most corrupt admin in history.

I’m not saying prices aren’t up on certain things, but I’m a single father of 3(all driving age/all with vehicles)and I work for a nonprofit and even with some prices being up, I’m still in better shape than I was when Biden was in office.

People on the left are constantly bringing up gas prices, but they were silent in 2022 when every state reached their highest price per gallon in that state’s history. They also refuse to acknowledge that blue states always have the highest gas prices/taxes and then somehow blame Trump.

Hopefully the GOP will get rid of the neocons for good and start being conservatives again.

Neocons are losers. They always have been, they always will be.

So, are you saying you voted against Trump more so than you voted for Democrats?

This leads me back to my original question, now that you’ve helped Democrats take back Congress, what exactly do you expect them to do?
