Sounds like the federal taxpayers made an investment in you that will benefit you for the rest of your life and it’s time for you to pay it back.

If you stay transfixed on phony issues like transgender you’re going to drive yourself to full blown neurosis…

what is it that you believe the Democrats you help retake both houses of Congress will do now that they’re in power?

/\THIS/\ is the $64.000,000,000 question.

I am in a state of shock. In all my prior pondering of what would happen if the nation "turned blue" I always took solace in the belief that at least I lived in Texas and we would lead the way out of the communist minefield.

BUT - last night left me completely without a thought of how we can exist with the Lone Star State in on the takeover.

I am more dejected today than any other time in my 88 years.

I am completely dejected about the future that my 3 great-grandsons will inherit and have to deal with. One is graduating high school this year.

THEY did not deserve to have to survive in this cesspool.

Something people aren’t account for us that Trump flipped votes from democrat to Republican in 2024 and that got him elected. He was good at plugging into their needs and convinced them he could fix it. Ending High prices, wars, illegal in migration, corruption in politics etc. he failed them on most of these things.

So they went back to their original democrat vote for this midterm.

This morning I talked to someone I’ve known well for my entire 64 year life. I was shocked to hear that he voted for the Democrat in Louisiana’s senate race. First time in his life he voted Democrat. Why? Because he is afraid Trump will not cede the Presidency in 2029. Unbelievable.

Swing voters aren't thoughtful people and they don't read boards like this. You are wasting this cope.

To me it makes no sense to keep people in power who have failed on every promise they made

This is hilarious. We have a republican Congress that literally sat around for two years coming up with excuse and after excuse as to why they couldn’t pass any legislation and it’s Trump’s fault they got their asses handed to them? Trump wasn’t on the ballot last night. The public put belt to arse on do nothing republicans up and down the ballot because of how fricking worthless they are.. They literally had NOTHING to campaign on.

Every recession the last 75 years has happened on the Republicans watch.

Maybe at least Dems can give us sensible student loan reform

I don't like debt either. That's why I never got into it, outside of a mortgage payment.

I paid cash money for trade school. I was pretty ignorant and nàive at 18 years old but still somehow understood that I didn't want to enter adulthood with $100k in debt for an "education".

What makes you think 2 more years of this would have made things better? Was there any evidence of that?
