We're on page 3 and I realize this was from a prisoner litigation but the conditions are pretty bad for the guards as well.

Texas also executes prisoners. A fed judge can’t come in and say they can’t because it’s cruel and unusual.
Federal prisons is a different story but feds (us taxpayers) have to pay for it. My understanding this is state prisons and Tx needs to tell him to pack sand

"State's rights" have no bearing on an incorporated Constitutional-level discussion.
8A was incorporated via the 14A officially in 1962.
Any incorporated right from the Constitution applies to the states the same as the feds.
I swear some of y'all are impressive at your inability to follow simple discussions. I know comprehension may be too much to ask, but just follow along logically at a bare minimum, please.

I'm only answering the questions why this is in a federal court and why that federal court has power over Texas state prisons.
