#1: On one of the earlier shows, he got a call from a Louisiana guy who gave him “Coonass dittos.” Rush immediately took the guy off the air and had one of those conversations where you could hear him but not the caller. Rush got the explanation of what a coonass was and let the guy come back on the air after explaining that what the guy said was a Cajun, not a racial slur.

#2: My mother never broke a law or did an unethical thing in her life. In the very early days of the show, I told her and my dad about Rush. They were on a driving vacation through Missouri and passed through Cape Girardeau. They stopped at a phone booth and tore the page out of the phone book with all the Limbaugh family phone numbers and gave it to me. I’m certain she thought the law would come after her.

My favorite was when Jerry Garcia died and Rush said, "Just another dead doper. And a dirt bag."

Your favorite, because you listened to so much Rush?

Wanna know a secret? I remember that days show. Rush never said such a thing.

He called Jerry Garcia a doper plenty when he was alive. Never said anything like what you say when Garcia died.

But it's ok. I get a chuckle when y'all go full POS. Do it again.

After that Fluke girl testified that the college should pay for her contraception, Rush got in trouble of saying she was a slut and having so much sex she could couldn’t afford her own contraception and wanted “you” to pay for it.

Funny as shite.

Saw his Rush to Excellence Tour in 90 I think at UNO. One part of show he answered questions from audience from cards that were passed out before the show. He used mine. Frogman joined him and sang. I got to interview Frogman few years later at the Baton Rouge Blues fest.

Until last year, I thought he would surely out live both those scum bags.

The good die too young. I miss Rush.
