Our city is turning the corner on tenant power. When we organize, we win results. The Mamdani administration is emboldening us so we no longer tolerate the violence of evictions as a matter of business as usual," Antonia Marrero, a member of the Housing Organizers for People Empowerment (HOPE) Tenant Union, said during a press conference on Thursday.

I wonder if there's any issue at all on any subject that I would agree with mamdani on. It seems less and less likely everyday.

Why do these people still wear masks?

So property owned by others is expected to basically be forfeited to these deadbeats?

Apparently the sure way to increase rental residences in the city of New York is to make it to where no sane person with the means to do so would buy or build rental properties in the city.
Let's sit back and see how that works.

They have agoraphobia. It will eventually get worse and they won't leave their home....ever.

At least she was masked so I don’t have to look at her ugly face.

The funny thing is we know exactly what it leads to. I think they do too, but they're willing to do it to grow their power and influence. Or they're stupid people who are willfully ignorant of history and economic fact. There is no other option.

Wow. That will really solve any housing shortage.

My guess is a lot of these people are not the best looking people to begin with and the masking gives them a little more confidence to spew their BS.

Then more democrats should wear masks for their safety

When do you figure that the people who fund NYC finally grow tired of this?
This model is not sustainable

A very important question, which I doubt will ever be asked of these clowns in a public setting.

Do you mean worse, as if that would be a bad thing?

Seems as though, if they keep this up, most people in the city will be in one before long. Who the frick is going to be willing and able to actually keep up rental properties under this framework?
