Ever notice how leftists always have sympathy for the culprit but not the victims

In leftist theology, the perp IS the victim.

Progressives have a victim fetish. The more victimized you are by "society" the higher on their hierarchy you become.

They truly see violent minorities as a victim of society. Strain theory, and all of the mumbo jumbo sociology thats been drilled in their head.

The most egregious part is thinking whitey is smart and capable enough to endure it all, while poor minorities are not. Sounds very racist to me.

It's topics like this that make me think back to an interview I saw around a year or so after the ACA had gone into effect. The interviewer (CBS, I think) was interviewing someone (in the Southwest, maybe Phoenix?) about the ACA. The guy responded that he had voted for Obama and supported the ACA because it was "going to make the rich pay their fair share" (or some similar leftist/socialist tripe). The reporter mentions that the interviewee has mentioned that he's not happy with the ACA and asks him why. The response was "I didn't realize I would be considered 'rich'."

In a way, they see the victims of the homicides, gangs, etc. to be non-people. Sure, they were people but they're gone now and those who committed the crimes against them are still here. They wonder what drove these criminals to commit their crimes, then work to discover and/or romanticize fantastical reasons for their actions.

If there's anything a Leftist loves, it's to pat themselves on the back for finding some undiscovered victim class then fighting for them. These two things come together to create an environment where the Leftist values empathizing with the criminal over the criminal's victim because of their victims' lesser status due to their being non-people.

This goes on for each Leftist right up to the point where they become the victim of such a criminal. At that point the victim of the criminal moves from being almost theoretical to being very real because it's them. To paraphrase the mindset: "I didn't realize I could ever be one of their victims." It's like the old saying of a conservative being a liberal who got mugged the night before.

They feel so superior in acting smug to think they are protecting less fortunate that they trample on the victims and never realize how crapy of a person they are.

I have said for years now that they lack any ability to feel shame.

Look at the behavior of female black politicians. Look at the guy that’s flying to ElSalvador to get a gang banger back to his “home” in the US.

I would be ashamed to do such an idiotic thing. I would be ashamed to say this gang bangers home is the US.

Yet, they can do so and gleefully.

Don't forget about all the "principled" people on the right demanding illegal alien gangbangers be treated the same as citizens who pay taxes.

These idiots will destroy the country as long as they can tell you how morally superior they are.

The virtue signaling on the right is reaching that of the left. The left will tell you the violent criminal is more important than the victims. The right will tell you the system is more important than the victims.
