Horrible that people are in prison. New trials need to be granted.

So that crime equals Guantanamo Bay? If it was lib, y’all would give him a freedom award.

When was this video taken? Before or after he was “presiding” in the house chambers?
This video does nothing to prove his or Trump’s innocence/
I wonder where his sense of duty was BEFORE he illegally trespassed? Or did he think Trump wanted them to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power?
Thanks for proving to everyone that you are scum.

Unfortunately, he did a plea deal, so this evidence can't get him out of jail.

Didn’t this idiot already take a plea deal? Seems there is enough video for him to get off totally.

The sound someone makes when they are presented with the truth and refuse to believe it.

The Senate which Capitol Police escorted him to?
The Senate where Capitol Police appear to have unlocked an entrance allowing the guy access?
Is that the ""House Chambers"" you're referring to?
As far as timing, Trump's "Please go home - Be peaceful" tweet/video was uploaded 30-40min after the Shamon guy was personally escorted into the Senate by Capitol police at 2:14pm. As he's citing Trump's tweet in the video, the Shamon guy's video OBVIOUSLY transpired after he'd been inside the Senate.

I feel bad for all of them. As much as it pains me to say this, I blame DJT. He sent them there. He knew they were riled up, but sent them anyway. I assume that he thought they were just going to mill around and shout at the steps of the Capitol, then go home.
He should have gone with them. He could have been a stabilizing force, but he was probably told not to as it would expose him, personally, to risk.
The end result is that he used them for political theater and threw them away when he realized things went too far.
I realize a lot of people on here will be upset with this take, but I have to call it like I see it. I like what Trump's policies were for America, but Jan 6th was a colossal failure of leadership when his most loyal people needed him the most.

Uh, yes it could. His lawyers did have any of this content. Under the Brady rules, it should be argued that the prosecution didn’t release exculpatory evidence, or that his lawyer was inept in fighting for it, appropriately. I think he has a shot on appeal

I mean, that’s definitely not an uncommon belief. You ain’t the only one in that boat. There’s Adam Kinzinger, Liz Cheney, Nanci Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and so on and so on.

Long walk. Short bridge.

I blame any and all of the so-called leaders that perpetuated the unproven claim of election fraud. Many of them knew at the time there was absolutely no evidence to support those claims.

I'm not trying to score political points though. I'm just a random guy that saw his president fail his people. I feel it's disingenuous to only highlight the good things he did without also pointing out his mistakes.
I like that he was tough on China, wanted to secure the border, and tried to promote manufacturing in the USA. Those, America first, policies are great - IMO and sorely needed going forward. However, his handling of Covid (even though he was misled) and Jan 6, were low points for him, and I think it should be called out.
To not do so would be remiss, and ultimately not be accurate.

It’s perfectly fine to criticize him or anyone else for that matter……..when they clearly deserve it. In this particular situation, and JMO of course, he shouldn’t have done anything differently in his send off of what he had reason to believe was only demonstrators exercising their constitutional right to voice their opinions by way of protest at a place where same should be expected at any given time. Neither he nor any other political figure should discourage that most American of actions on account of “there may be some agitators.” There’s seemingly always agitators in an otherwise legitimate crowd of demonstrators. You can’t simply call off every possible future demonstration for that reason.

McCarthy should have given the Video to Musk at the same time he did Tucker. Elon has become the 'George Patton' of Social Media.
