It's not "doubting him" to note that his timelines are always much more aggressive than the reality plays out.

SpaceX will be self sufficient monetarily within 5 years as everyone on Earth will own something attached to the Starlink Network

Musk was in Lafayette recently & met with one of the largest general contractors in the area. He told the contractor that he would need 15,000 workers to get started.

Do you think SpaceX will be orders of magnitude more valuable than the entire earth economy?

Elon says lots of shite.

Not all of it is true.

Granted, the stuff they have done with the rockets is super cool and it's almost unbelievable when watching one of them land backwards. Starlink appears to be a commercial success so far.

But I'm not stopping saving for retirement or buying a cybertruck because he says so.

For such a smart guy his personal life seems like kind of a mess also so I take what he says with a grain of salt.

It's called being autistic. And I highly doubt he gives a damn what you think about his personal life.

On a long enough timeline, yes I do. I also believe we'll see humans on Mars before I'm gone.

I'm not sure you understand what would be required to make that happen.

I don't care what it's called. The guy has more kids with more women than NBA players. His personal life is clearly out of order.

Although it's not quite as bad as obsessive posters on tigerdroppings constantly babbling about Q...
