And he has less going on than Elon and he also wants a political career so this could be beneficial to him

terrible idea... and I like Elon.

i get that the gubment is broken, but damn this is stupid.

next time the dems win the presidency or control of the house, then they can put george soros as speaker. maybe even joy reid. frick it. just a put a chinaman as speaker of the house.

Rand is smarter than me, but constitutionally can that be done. Not based on being the Speaker, which does not have to be member of HoR, but based on line of succession. Speaker is 3rd in line for Presidency and Elon would be eligible. Maybe it would just skip to 4th person, President Pro Tempore of the Senate.

I would assume it would skip, since the House could elect a non-natural born citizen legally. There is nothing stopping that.

Yeah, I'll be fine. It sucks but the American people have spoken, what can you do?

I thought about heading up to DC when they certify the results to have a little riot, but then I remembered I wasn't a 40 year old manchild having a temper tantrum.

holy shite you really voted for her I was kinda just trolling. I didn't realize there was anyone here who would actually admit that. I kinda feel bad now. T&P to you during this difficult time

Yeah, it was between Candidate I Don't Really See Eye to Eye With and Pants Shitter. Still had Brain Worms (he was still on the ballot here) and Obvious Russian Asset but I wasn't big on either of them too. So I just made the best of a bad situation.

I live in a red state so Pants Shitter was going to win regardless, but I wanted to vote anyway. The down ballot candidates are still important.

How is this possible? If something happens to Trump that would make Elon VP, and if both Trump and Vance, he’d be President.

He will be Pro Temp of the Senate.

While I don't know of anything that prevents holding both positions (definitely not a constitutional scholar and slept on my own couch last night) there would certainly be an argument based on a constitutionally mandated bicameral congress.

At the same time, he's not a voting member of either so that would be the argument for/pro.

I'm pretty sure Elon wouldn't be in the line of succession (not being a natural born US citizen) and that would be an argument why he can't be SoH. Line of succession is laid out in constitution, making him ineligible to hold the position "could not fullfill his duties" argument. I don't think they can just plan to "skip" him without a constitutional amendment.

Thanks brother, I appreciate it. I tried to be there for you all when Pants Shitter lost to a geriatric that you all said doesn't even know where he is day to day.

Honestly, as I think about it, Pants Shitter only being able to beat women is pretty on brand for him and conservatives in general.

I don't think this is needed. I believe if Trump isn't happy with what Thune is doing he can send Vance over to sit in the "head chair," and dislodge any rino hold ups.

If someone ineligbile for POTUS is SOH or any of the other positions below POTUS/VP in the line of succession, they are skipped. For example, Granholm and Mayorkas are currently "skipped" because they were born in Canada and Cuba, respectively, to non-US citizen parents.
