Look, claiming he can't cook being the reason you eat take-out so much is one thing, but you're also too fricking lazy to go get the food yourself is absurd. It's supposed to be a convenience thing to get food delivered, not a necessity.

Young people generally learn to prepare home meals …usually when they have kids.

Participation trophies.

This is the result of weak/absent fathers allowing Zoloft-saturated-helicopter-moms to shield their children from “pain” of work and/or discipline.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
Pain is the ultimate motivator.
No pain, no gain.

You would have a hard time finding someone more detached from the world most people live in than Taylor Lorenz. She is completely oblivious to this reality.

Amazes me that people Door Dash a single meal from a fast food place....

Only time it should be done is if you have no access to transportation... I/E my kid will Door Dash something if he's out of town wrestling and there's no place within walking distance..

Side Note: It's Taylor Lorenz, probably the worst "journalist" with the dumbest takes...

I have never used any of these services nor have the option because I live in an isolated area. Given the chance, I would never use it. I seldom eat at restaurants because I can barely stomach imagining others preparing my food. Throw in some random person driving around with it after being handled by the restaurant and it would jumpstart a vomit.

Good point... half of them think they are 'fluencers and believe it's a source of income. I love how they jump immediately to 'their time is expensive'.

I miss when it was mostly high school/college kids working at these restaurants. Now you go in and they're full of somalians and adults with face tattoos. No thanks I dont need taco bell that bad.

Why? We really enjoy growing and cooking a lot of our own food. I might look at the opposite and say the same thing.

More evidence that we are destroying our society by circumventing Darwin's Law.

I worked briefly in a restaurant kitchen while in college. Many people don’t know the half of it. It is the primary reason why I rarely eat out.

More to the point, most mf'ers are just too lazy to cook.
