So busy watching tiktok videos you don't have time to watch tiktok videos on how to prepare food. Of which there are millions.
Or....they're just lazy, worthless pieces of shite.
I'll be the first to admit I'm not a great cook. But for lunches or a light dinner after you get off work -- how hard is it to go pick up some tuna, bread, cheese, chicken, a can of corn, peas, whatever and throw some combination of that into a toaster oven or regular oven to make a tuna melt, chicken, etc.

They don’t have time to workout either. Fat lazy pathetic people.

I hate that Papa John's and Pizza Hut almost exclusively use these guys now.
Not only do they deliver through these guys... but most online orders (to pickup yourself) go through one of these services now and you're charged more than if you just order through the restaurant. That is INFURIATING! I didn't even realize this until a year or so ago.

You graduated college but don't have the time-management skills (e.g. "programming" a rice cooker, crockpot, etc.) nor the mental capacity to create home-cooked meals.
It’s laziness. It’s easier than ever to cook at home. Yes it’s difficult and time consuming to cook advanced meals from scratch but it’s not hard to pour canned beans or corn into a pot to heat, or to season and cook meats, or use premade sides that you toss in the oven or microwave. Or hell they even have solid frozen dinners these days. I cook frozen zatarains skillet meals for a quick lunch fairly often

Imagine referring to a luxury (hot food delivery on demand) as a “tax on the poor” and actually being serious
Being that disconnected from reality must be amazing. You have zero problems

Getting meals has become too easy.

Absolutely!
Living wouldn't be as easy as it is now, but our ancestors proved that we can not only live, but thrive.
If you know how to shoot, fish, hunt and track game and even have a slight knowledge of gardening and foraging, you're already light-years ahead of these generations that have been raised with a device in their hand that tells them literally when and how to do whatever they want. The above list of skills is only rudimentary and a small part of the equation, but it's a leg-up on anyone bereft of that knowledge.
Carrington Event or EMP will send them into the fetal position within an hour. People don't think much about it, but it will be really obvious if an actual "grid down" scenario happens. I've prepared for that, and my family will be in 100% defense/self-preservation mode within minutes.

Cooking a decent meal is not hard. You just follow the recipe and directions.

Slightly OT - Does it drive anyone else up a wall when you get those videos in your feed that make it sound like they're revealing some kind of hack, when in reality they're just following a recipe?
"Did you know that if you take two cups of milk combine it with two cups of flour, add a teaspoon of baking soda and baking powder, add in two eggs and half a cup of oil - stir it all up and then pour it on a hot griddle.. you've just made pancakes."
Madness.

Here's the thing - the better you get at cooking, and especially when you use quality ingredients - the less likely you are to be satisfied with the offerings of your local restaurants, much less the chemical swill of fast food, these days.
There is a lengthy list of things that we just don't order out any longer because our homemade version is superior.
I cut my own steaks. Don't overpay for a subpar product out. Sous vide & a stainless skillet sear later and we're in business.
I can do Picanha on the rotisserie on the Big Green Egg. Very little reason to do that out unless I just don't feel like the prep.
BBQ from top to bottom is something that we do better at home, but there are 2 or 3 places in metro Atlanta that are worth it.
We just got a vitnage pressure fryer and are going to give KFC-style fried chicken a swing soon.
Burgers, thick and smashburger type are better at home. I can bake my own buns.
When I make a batch of pizza dough, I can freeze several balls and have them ready to go in the pizza over or on the steel in the oven in the time it takes the order to arrive, and it's pennies on the dollar.
My Korean BBQ game is getting stronger, and once I find an enchilada sauce recipe that I like, we'll probably order less Mexican food, too. Making hand-rolled flour tortillas is a blast.
These vapid twits would be amazed at that they can discover if they'd take a day and frick around in the kitchen.

Forget about the junk food thing (any food you or someone else don't cook yourself is essentially junk food), are these people so lazy they can't drive to McD's or Wingstop to pick up their slop?
We have two girls in our office att he front desk who get McDonald's DoorDash almost every morning. I asked them how much it cost. They said it's $3.99 per delivery plus they tip $6. They sometimes get breakfast and lunch via DoorDash. They make $22/hr. I asked why they couldn't stop at McDonald's on the way in, and they said they don't have time

Or just make a sandwich. I eat a sandwich that I make at home almost every day for lunch at work.

You look at it from a lens of more maturity and experience, plus you are probably married with kids.
I do the same thing. The only thing I don't make myself is pasta.
But, I remember being a single guy . But I used to at least go and get my food, but mostly I would hit the grocery and get cold cuts, eggs. Hamburger helper and Italian Sausage.....and preheated Chicken Cordon Bleu. Kids today will blow their money on Door Dash 5 days a week and pay more for it because it is delivered. My daughter told me that because she was a regular she was getting her door dash free. I quickly showed her how they were hiding the fees and she was still paying more.

Doordash already accepts SNAP/EBT.
One of the main goals should be making sure the Taxpayers get the most value for their dollars that go to these programs. There is no way in hell, that is happening on Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc.
Ridiculous how easy it is to be poor in this country. Too damn convenient.
