I wish I had this as an option. Hell, forget the drive or delivery. Is there a crosswalk. If you don't have to sprint through several lanes of traffic, they could walk over there.
You don’t even have to cross the street. Hang a right out of my neighborhood and it’s right there. Hell, Dunkin is right there as well if you keep walking another 100’

You answered your own question.

I didn’t know that. I guess that makes sense.
I usually only buy from independently owned restaurants that I have never been to before due to all my travels and usually in southern California.
I never think about the costs because I’m not paying for it and the area is expensive anyway.

There is a guy in my town that sits on a corner in front of a Wendy's most days each week asking people for money. He's not old. I would say late 20's early 30's.
One day I was riding to Lowe's to pick up something and saw him in his usual position asking for money. I noticed he had an iphone and was messing with it while asking for cash. I was a little pissed but just went on my way.
As I was coming back I couldn't believe what I saw. Doordash was pulled into the Wendy's parking lot and delivering this dude some food. I don't think I have ever been so astonished with the level of laziness and arrogance of what I just witnessed.

All good rules too.

This is bc they do not have the time or capacity to create home cooked meals.
They don't have time to make home cooked meals, but they have time to sit on the sofa binging Netflix
They don't have the capacity to home cook a meal, but somehow they have the capacity to navigate obtaining every possible welfare handout that they can get.
Liberals once again proving they think so lowly of poor people, that they can't even expect them to be self sufficient enough to go to the grocery store or follow a simple 20 minute recipe they find on Google.

I was cooking five-course meals at 10 years old. My household had zero money but i was cooking with Granny and Gramps at their place every chance i got. I still make Grandpa's chili to the exact letter, almost 40 years later. Four of our kids were cooking casseroles and making outstanding barbecue before their teens (the fifth kid had an unnatural aversion to the culinary arts, but at least could cook Ramen and make a bowl of cereal).
We have major problems, both in standards that have changed and the willingness of our youth to put in a little bit of effort.
People who study doomsday scenarios say that if a widescale EMP event affects the earth, 90%+ of Americans will die within six months. I believe it. Late Millennials and early Zoomers, in particular, seem wholly incapable of survival without social media and apps. These youts are completely bereft of even the most basic survival skills and instincts, and they're wholly conditioned to believe that society cannot possibly collapse while ironically being programmed to vote for politicians and policies that will usher-in the collapse.

Of all the dumb shite I've read recently, this is the dumbest.
"Poor people don't have time to cook because they work too much and have to have fast food delivered to them"

This what I call “weaponized laziness”. People not being able to cook for themselves comes from either one of two things.
1: they’re too lazy to cook
2: they’re too lazy to learn how to cook.
I’m not saying you should learn how to become an executive level chef….but you should be able to figure out how to make some simple dishes. There was a time I could barely figure out hamburger helper and no my family and my in-laws beg me to cook for them.
Stop being fricking lazy.
Post this on the OT and relate it too Door dash and watch how many down votes you get. Also add that it is the reason they can't save money and then they blame "Boomers" for all of their ills. The post would go on for 10 pages at a minium.

That sounds glorious. It's probably better that I have to stop at those places during breaks/time off and I have to go a few miles to get there.
If I had a chick fil a and a Dunkin that close, I would be spending way too much $ walking over there. The staffs would be like: "What up, Doctor B?"

I could see the excuse that you are busy but to say you don't have the capacity is almost unbelievable. That what recipes are for. Good lord.

So busy watching tiktok videos you don't have time to watch tiktok videos on how to prepare food. Of which there are millions.
Or....they're just lazy, worthless pieces of shite.

It really is. There’s also a Mexican restaurant and a Thai sushi restaurant, a grocery store and other options. if I make a left instead of a right. I’m surrounded by food. there’s a 7 Brew as well, but that requires me crossing the street, which is why I haven’t tried it.
Crazy enough though, I cook most of my meals at home.

I love TikTok food videos. I do most of the cooking because I’m always grilling. There’s nothing better to me than food prep and grilling delicious food. I’m also a person who will admit to eating fast food at times. Still could never justify door dash.
