The structural design of WTC 7 was unique. ...which required the use of long-span beams and girders to transfer loads from the building’s columns to the foundations. T... more vulnerable to the effects of uncontrolled fires.

quote:

collapse was initiated by the failure of a single column, Column 79, ... fires caused thermal expansion in the floor beams supporting this column, leading to a chain of events that resulted in the column’s failure.

quote:

Once Column 79 failed, it triggered a progressive collapse of the entire building. The loads from the failed column were redistributed to the other columns, causing them to fail in quick succession. This led to the collapse of the interior structure, followed by the exterior structure, resulting in the complete collapse of the building.

It did not collapse from fire, it was damaged when Tower 1 fell. In the pictures below, you can see some of the damage to Building 7 as well as damage to other buildings from the collapse of Tower 1. In the bottom picture, you can see damage at the base of building 7.

If they needed building 7 removed that badly, they would have just had another plane flown into it.

There were several other buildings adjacent to WTC 1 & 2 that were highly damaged and on fire but did not free fall collapse.

Here is an example of a building adjacent to WTC 1 & 2 that was damaged pretty badly but it did not free fall collapse. It's indicative of the kind of damage you would expect. Some parts collapsed. Some parts still standing. In other words heterogenous damage. Not a homogeneous free fall collapse.

No. Just no. Columns don’t fail slowly. They don’t bend. They fracture. This is basic sophomore structural engineering.

Fire does weaken steel to the point of structural damage and possible collapse. But not free fall collapse.

What if you light it on fire, then throw millions of tons of debris at the structural base of the building? Pretty much what happened, right?

One column? Sure. Two simultaneously? Doubtful. 81 columns? Impossible.

I write this while literally doing structural engineering right now.

Happened to all the other buildings around WTC 1 and 2 too that did not free fall collapse.

I guess we'll just ignore the structural weaknesses caused by two of the biggest buildings in the world collapsing next door and taking gouges out of WTC 7.

You understand that several were complete losses--but did not have the fires-- and others were directly crushed by the North and South Tower?

Even more asinine are the people who insist that the fire in the towers was not hot enough to melt steel, therefore, it was all a hoax.

Unfortunately yes, most normies still believe the official narrative about 9/11.

Interestingly though some of your biggest skeptics are younger people who were too young to remember or not even alive yet when it happened. So that means there's hope in the future for the truth to come out to more and more people.

I remember on 9/10/2001 watching Rummy make the trillions missing @ the Pentagon DoD Statement.

Back then this was a BFD. The internet had people talking about it signing on in AOL or some new MSN prodigy software. Free Republic and Drudge were born. Yet Drudge loved the Bush's. We all did like idiots...

Then of course the internet sleuths were called loons for worrying about it...

(Ron Paul warned and us idiots were told Ron Paul was batshit insane)

Then 9/11 and it was all forgotten. Then GWBush announced his budget funding the WAR ON TERROR and future FISA Patriot Act nonsense.

John Brennan cut the ribbon to the new spy on America spy room formed with the DOJ NSD.

The Patriot Act would save us all! Then Nadal shot up a military base. And CAIR helped Dearborn, Michigan turn into HAMAs and Hezbollah. Yet they spent trillions, while telling us this would not happen on American soil.

There was even a MSM news report that the FBI was caught red handed funding a mid-Eastern man, providing him with the freaking bombs. JUST SO THEY COULD ANNOUNCE they thwarted the horrific action!

This was the last budget a President WAS ALLOWED to pass in 2004 Dubya----when GWBush funded the Pentagon ----so Obama could spy on everybody...

It isn't simultaneous. One column will fail and then the load shifts to the next supporting member. Then that one will fail and the load keeps shifting. All of that can happen slowly at first but at some point, the remaining members can no longer support the load and once that happens, the remaining structure will fail and the building will collapse.

It will appear to be simultaneous but you are talking about a chain reaction that occurs in a fraction of a second.
