Well, duh.

But if your premiums go from $400 a month to $10,000 a month because of your preexisting condition then you aren't going to have coverage.

Doubtful unless President Trump does a flip flop like Kamala Harris.

Why is it people like you always say this? Its like in local elections, politicians complain about not funding the police and fire departments. But never about all the wasted money.

What makes you think those areas are what they will go after? There is plenty of fat to cut away from the other parts of the government. And one of the largest parts of the budget is welfare. This needs to be reformed. I'm all for giving short term help to someone but it is a way of life for many people. I have a farm in rural Alabama and there are many people who live around there that are 60-70 years old and have NEVER had a job.

Welfare should only be available for a limited amount of time. Like 5 years over a persons entire lifetime. It should be there to help out in times of need, not a way of life.

If we can get people off welfare and move them into jobs then instead of a drain on the country they will be paying taxes into the coffers.

There are jobs that illegals do now that these people can do after the illegals get deported. People like to say that the illegals are doing jobs Americans wont do, but they will do them if they are hungry.

Get a job people.

Quite the contrary. DOGE is needed to sustain funds and improve these programs

No, that’s not true.
Some people certainly could get insurance at a higher price, much of which wasn’t affordable.

Others were just flat turned down.

Cut peoples Social Security and you will lose them forever.

Then cut the funds of those you’ve already lost and will never get back, the welfare class. So many “disabled” people would be cured overnight when they learn they have to work to eat.

I think a lot of young people aren't aware that prior to ACA you could be denied health coverage for even minor/distant preexisting conditions.

This coming year I will be paying $3700/mo for a shitty plan for two healthy adults and two healthy kids.

So how bout GFY

It’s a committee who will produce reports. They have no power to cut anything but they can tell our officials where to cut.

It should be, and should have been for a long time. Government needs a watchdog. With teeth.

And that's also fair.

We HAD the greatest system in the world because you could get all the help you needed...and just file bankruptcy if it was too much. Now costs are ballooning for everyone because far more people can't afford healthcare since we're all subsidizing the previously extremely rare exceptions.

You morons expanded the type of health insurance you describe to everyone. Very, very few people are in a better spot.

Nah, it's true. Some people just wanted health insurance that would cover literally everything when they couldn't qualify for that and should have been seeking different plans.
