re: Dems found 20MM more voters this round of midterms

The two articles that I have read on the subject of voter turnout say that the net increase in all voters - blue and red - between 2022 and 2026 is 18 mil. So the original post, which includes no link, says that Dems gained 20 mil? Feel free to do your own research, but the OP seems like bunk.

If these numbers are correct and the D's gained 20 million from 2022 mid-term, why did Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, etc., not have the same results? Please explain.
You do realize different states have different populations and different population profiles, right?
In Louisiana, young people graduate college and leave as fast as they can... usually heading to Texas (Houston, Austin, Dallas) or Atlanta... so, LA young people were probably part of what helped Texas go Blue.
Beyond that... Democrats, and especially African American Democrats in LA are are just demoralized. When there's a John Bel Edwards, with name recognition and a war chest, they show up for him. When the election is a couple of weeks away and they have to go hunt online to even see who the Democratic candidate or candidates are, and they've never heard of them, they figure "why bother." This is how Landry became governor with over 50% of the vote in a low-turnout gubernatorial election jungle primary.
But... Harris came close, and I believe that was due to white Democratic voters... and looking at Mississippi and Texas, it seems to have invigorated some people that it is possible and they shouldn't just throw up their hands and say it's not worth the time, so the next election might see some enthusiasm in communities that have been voting less and less.

Before this is over, I think you're gonna eat those words or Trump's gonna shove them up your arse. Could you just imagine a landscape company...an empty warehouse across from a crematorium. Where people were seeing carrying "boxes" over there for days and days. Can you imagine why they might have a presser in front of that building? Could it be that they knew what had happened in that building and they were sending a message to those who did it.... or did they just arbitrarily call a presser in front of the Four Seasons landscaping company because they wanted to stand in the middle of an empty street.
Duh.
Think about it for a minute, retard.

R’s stayed roughly same as 2022. Dems upped by 20MM. Hmm…
Total is still less than the last 3 generals, and only 4 million more than 2018 mid terms
Anybody shocked a bunch of low propensity D voters got persuaded to turn out and vote this time is missing the boat, along with the shifts in swing voters

Yep. Down 0.6%. Real wage already adjusts for inflation. So instead of 14% vs 3.7% you are saying it’s 14% vs 0.6%. Nice!!!

Texas was more Red than Louisiana
... and Texas also has about 10,000,000 more Latino voters than Louisiana. That demographic voted majority Republican in 2024 and had become Trump's signal achievement in his election. There was about a 40 point shift blue by this group in 2026, thanks to the Trump war, the resulting inflation and affordability crisis, and betrayal by Trump and homeland security in the form of ICE harassment. That last feature is about all I hear on the local news on weeknights.

What are you even doing? How long are you going to believe these fairy tales? This garbage ended six years ago when Joetato took office.

Yes. Just like all of those Obama voters in the the swing states (which had been called "The Blue Wall" because it was solidly Dem for a while) didn't show up for Hillary. Then showed up for Biden, then didn't show up for Harris.
There's some Dem operatives on the ground who come right out and say when they talk to working-class males, ESPECIALLY African American and Latino working-class males (who are the working-class males who vote for Democrats) they outright tell them a female President is a no-go! That's part of it... but Hillary felt like she was forced upon people, and Harris bombed out early in her primary run, and got the VP nod because Biden promised "I'm going to pick a black woman for VP." Then she took over when Biden dropped out, once the campaign was already underway... so she felt forced on people. Gerald Ford Syndrome - "Where did this guy come from? I never voted for him to be in this position!"

Yea, it's boring, I agree. Let's get together and create an alternate-reality picture show with the story line based on Cheating and The Big Steal. Still boring, but it raises the antennas on the tin hat brigade.
