If you weren't paying attention, their witnesses could have easily been the prosecution's.

Not much of one. I haven’t seen much of today’s witness recap, but it wasn’t going well for the defense

It was GiveSendGo... they had excellent attorneys. They also retained a public defender in case the money for the real ones ran out.
They weren't a poor family to begin with, I don't think.

It's fairly standard.
Criminal trials don't typically go on for weeks and weeks. The stupid OJ trial skewed a lot of people's understanding of this.

I’m really starting to wonder if they didn’t realize he was toast, and family decided let’s fight it where we have an excuse to go the go fund me route to get as much as we can. When he is found guilty you could fundraise again on putting money aside to fight through appeal.
