But if what JD Miles was putting in quotes are actual quotes by the defense, he asked high school kids questions he didn’t know how they would answer.

It was 4 or less kids... at least one of which was the impeached witness- his police report interview said one thing, but upon viewing the video at the behest of the cross had to admit he was incorrect.

There weren't good witnesses to be found for the defense. There is no defense for what KA did.

His lawyers had nothing to work with to mount a “self defense” argument. The testimony most favorable to Karmelo was that Metcalf either pushed or attempted to push Karmelo so Karmelo took out a knife and stabbed them in the chest. If that is all you have for self defense, good luck.

They were gambling that the jury panel would be favorable and that they could get a few black jurors on their side. That didn’t happen and they didn’t get a single witness to testify in a favorable way for Karmelo. He is fricked.

No way his lawyer was competen

It’s pretty hard to defend using self defense when

He was asked to leave 15 times

The victim said “I’m not going to fight you at a track meet”

He had a knife on school grounds

He said touch me and see what happens

He called the victim a pussy and antagonized him

Even a defense witness said the defendant was at fault

You're not considering the fact they can order up riots like you or I order up Chinese takeout. The timing of this is too convenient. People may not care right now, but they will when they get those Soros bucks.

Karmelo's own words did him in... "I told him not to touch me"... no element of fear.

Criminal trials don't typically go on for weeks and weeks. The stupid OJ trial skewed a lot of people's understanding of this.

The trial of Jodi Arias made me question my sanity.

Jodi Arais alone was on the stand for 18 days

I have no idea how anyone can afford to pay for criminal defense or how criminal defense lawyers make any money in that state.

People are fatigued... I live near Columbia, SC and literally NOTHING happened following Chow verdict- Richland County is very, eh, diverse.

I think this peters out after a few days... like the Chow thing did.

They can claim incompetent counsel but, frankly, he didn’t have much to work with given what witnesses they DID put on the stand.

Correct.

This was a "make chicken salad out of chicken shite" scenario for the attorney.

Hope so.

Should be.

I worry about the jury looking at how small/young he looks... but they also had to see all the evidence.

Did the family really blow the $500k GOfundme haul on cars and homes and leave nothing left over for attorneys?

The family very likely wants a conviction for multiple reasons:

1. They can whine and bellyache to anyone who’ll listen about how their innocent little angel was railroaded by the YTs.

2. They can grift more $$$ from crowdfunding if there are appeals.

Spending the money on getting your kid the best attorneys possible is hardly helping him get away with murder.

Sadly you are probably correct. Crazy how some people can even tolerate themselves.

Too bad the death penalty isn`t on the table so life without parole is the best.

With all the evidence against Anthony it`s obvious that he should not have been out on bond all this time.

Even the defense witnesses were a negative for him.

There were never any grounds for him to be able to bond out.

I don't know if the family wants him convicted, but there are certainly members of the racial grievance industry praying that happens.

The jury also saw Austin’s cold grey corpse and punctured heart that was removed during autopsy.

I found it very interesting... the fact that it WAS so straightforward made me quite curious in what the defense would do.

I'm easily entertained though.
