How has Communism / Socialism been able to engrain itself so deeply in our society if Capitalism is superior?

Because spoiled kids don't realize they're being lied to by communist professors / educators / MSM types. They've never really experienced any hardship other than paying a couple dollars more for their Starbucks. It's all a lie and the useful idiots that claim they want it wouldn't last 5 minutes before they were sent to forced labor camps. They don't realize the layabouts are the ones sent to slave labor first. It's really not that hard, but you knew that. These kids are dupes and have it too easy. They never had a foot up their arse and weren't made to work hard.

Capitalism, while not perfect, is superior. The problem is it assumes people are motivated and willing to provide for themselves and their families and to improve their station in life. When you incentivize people who fail to meet this basic standard to breed in disproportionate numbers and import a significant number of people who lack the skills/desire to contribute, and entertain the victim mentality of the entitled the whole system falls apart.

Capitalism is the only system where someone can go from nothing to everything.
The poorest of the poor in a Capitalist system are many times more wealthy than the base level poor in all other systems.
You aren’t entitled to anyone’s work, talent, effort or wealth. The “greater” good isn’t that great when in reality it’s the entitlement and laziness of the collective.
No other system rewards individual effort like capitalism.
The government is too inept, corrupt and filled with idiocy to decide how the collective wealth is redistributed. Nope.

Democratic Socialist of America just passed 120,000 members.
It’s not as engrained as you’d think, they’re just the loudest with paid for MSM pushing their narrative hard.
There’s a reason Trump laughs them off.
Now, Islamic terrorists are what I worry about.

Cloward / Piven strategy, all by design.

Who benefits from Communism?
What happened to Cuba? Venezuela? Any other utopian Communist country that you would enjoy?
Give me a list of inventions that were birthed in a Communist country.
Name a superior product that was exported from the Soviet Union.
Which Communist country would you enjoy?

Kalashnikov made a nice gun. He would have made millions in the U.S. The commies gave him a little house in the forest and a trophy.

This is the correct answer.
Talk to someone who escaped Cuba or North Korea to come here.
They'll tell you (royal you) which is better in a hurry. And might slap your face if you argue.

None? Did you understand the question?

The term "political correctness" originated in early 20th-century Marxist-Leninist vocabulary to describe strict adherence to the orthodox "party line" of the Communist Party. Its meaning has evolved dramatically, shifting from an ideological tool to a satirical label, and finally to today's modern usage

People spending more time being envious and dreaming about what they want instead of working for what they want.

Look up Robert Owen and New Harmony, Indiana.
One was a wealthy Welsh entrepreneur who bought an entire town in the early 1800s to prove that socialism would work.
It was his Socialist Utopia. Where equality ruled.
It worked pretty well for a little bit, until the people that were actually working realized they were getting the exact same rations as the people who sat on their arse and did nothing.
the experiment failed in less than 2yrs.
