Yeah, this is a lot of people. The cost of living in Denver is absurd.

Good. Too many rich liberals in this state.

If it’s to fund some meals, the $80k per year club should be able to throw 5 dollars at it too.
90% of the population shouldn’t get to vote to raise taxes on the remaining 10%.
Publicly voted tax increases should affect 51%+ of the population to be legitimate.

I didn’t read the link, but the OP stated “individuals” earning more than $300,000.

History shows it is you missing the bigger point. Socialist policies attacking the productive class don’t work.

Why don't they just tax the legal marijuana sales since the kids who smoke probably eat more?

It's not the limit for joint filers. The link clearly says that it is for individuals making $300k.

My suspicion is that this tax get passed under the auspices of “food for kids” because who can deny hungry kids??? but then rapidly gets used for other things that have nothing to do with kids and everything to do with enriching the political class.
Why is this always the excuse given, but then no one applies the same logic to spending they're on board with?
The same shite happened whether the money is going to build a wall (which has never worked in history), a new plane or just more free money for Israel cause Jesus I guess.
It's all theft.
Republicans need to read the room. You're about to become the extreme minority if you don't figure out how to get over half of the country to not hate you and think you exist solely to serve big business and to allow Donny to grift whoever he wants.
You don't have to like it, but you better fricking start paying attention quickly.

People making these amounts already fund the country

Maybe not.
If so, that's on them, not you.

For anyone wondering what the dollar impact per effected taxpayer would be, the following is a quote from The Colorado Sun:
"Proposition MM will bring in new revenue by reducing the income tax deductions that can be claimed by Colorado households earning at least $300,000 in federal adjusted gross income. Nonpartisan legislative staff estimate the average single filer earning $300,000 or more in adjusted gross income will owe an additional $327 in taxes and the average joint filer earning $300,000 or more would owe an extra $574."

Democrats never learn. They just ruin cities and states, then leave to ruin more. They suck.

I laughed out loud when I read this. You could have saved the Chinese a lot of work with your wisdom.

You don’t understand what I’m saying. A couple making $300k to $400k with a family in a high cost, high tax state isn’t “rich.” Now you’re told that you need to pay even more in taxes every year to feed other people’s kids. This is why people are fleeing Cali for Nevada and other states.

So what’s the problem? Their state, their prerogative. If they want to tax the rich and ruin what they’ve built out there, let them.
You think it’s native born to CO deciding this bullshite? Do you think it’s native botn CO that are receiving these meals?

I really enjoyed CO while I stayed there earlier this year
