The black dudes that I personally know who live with their kids, are fricking awesome dads. They're very involved and for the most part their kids are really good kids. There's no doubt about it.

But that only tells part of the story here, and this is a very disingenuous framing into which I'm not sure the CDC should be stepping.

I keep telling myself to stay away from rage bait threads like this. But if I do, I tacitly condone it.

I am a 7 times over grandfather. I not only grew up in a two parent household, I can go back 6 generations and name each grandparent. Not one of them were born out of wedlock I have 2 sons who have given me 6 of my grands. They are active in child care because my DiLs have to work as well.

I can’t speak for an entire race. But I do grow weary of being lumped in with the irresponsible sperm donors aided and abetted by a political party that only wants a permanent underclass. A permanent underclass dependent on them for their very survival.

I can only be the example that my sons and grandsons can follow. THAT, I can do, and will do. FWIW, I worked for 47 years. Finally retired, and my new employers are my grandkids who adore bossing their Papa around!

I’m sure they have been tasked to propagate stuff like this to change the public’s view of centuries of realities. This is attempt to be truthful by omission. The media is been doing this for 15 years now. Only dumb liberal woman believe it.

To what? The inclusion of single fathers in a group that "lives with children"? That is just implied in the specific terms used.

For the single fathers by race:

So, dads who do shift work (like like my son who works 2 days on 4 days off) would not be counted in that number even if they did EVRYTHING for their children the days they were home????

Even dads who just work long hours might not fit that bill.

In fact, it would be the dads that didn't work and were home all the time that would fall in that group the most.

So I was going to search researcher names to see who was going to get canned over this at the CDC .... It's based on a 2013 study.
quote:

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's 2013 National Health Statistics Report, Black fathers (70%) who live with their children were most likely to have bathed, dressed, changed or helped their child with the toilet every day, compared with their white (60%) or Hispanic (45%) counterparts.

They are using a stat from a Obama era CDC study. Should not be surprising.

BamaPOS probably helped write it.

For the new guys, I’ll be happy to tell you who that phaggit is/was.
