most unions occurring outside of the catholic church aren't recognized at all within the church. this school isn't a church.
however, being all gay pride with it.... that might be another issue.

And you are surprised? Seek the truth. The catholic church has been infiltrated over the last century.

Raid would be best used on you as you are nothing but a insufferable pest.

Of course I don’t believe that. But when it comes to one specific nun at one specific school promoting the sin of Sodom, after inspecting the fruit of the matter...

Or maybe they know you well enough to know that your opinion is biased, always, every time....
You don't know this woman, you ASSUME that she serves God but to know that you would have to know what is in her heart.
Many times people do things that appear to be in service of God, but they are actually doing them for very selfish reasons.
Of course you once again let the mask slip and castigate those with differing opinions as stupid hill-a-billys, whilst Almighty Hank sits on judgement of us all....
You love playing the resident contrarian, know it all who seeks the divine middle, but people see thru your shtick....

I'm fine with them choosing what they like.
What I don't understand is why they call themselves Catholic?
It's like me running as a Democrat but holding all of my current political positions. Why call yourself something you aren't?

Big government types employees can’t pay the tuition anymore like some could when I went to such a school there, so that’s not it. Have you been to prep schools around the country? From Newman in the ghetto of nola to the Harvard school in LA all the kids of the most successful people and most of them blue politically, the winners are blue. Why is that?

All the private schools here are conservative in the majority.
Get out of your bubble.

The Catholic faith is complicated when you try to frame it in a political discussion.
It calls for "Republican" positions such as being against gay marriage and abortion
It calls for "Democrat" positions such as social justice, no death penalty, and a rather open view of immigration (I don't think it calls for open borders, but it certainly calls for more liberal immigration policies than we currently have)

St Agnes in Houston seems to be going down the same path...

Well, I know this. And, I'm really speaking more generally. We have a rash of this in our country. People joining groups, demanding to join groups, or seeking to substantially change groups to coincide with their own beliefs.
But that makes no sense to me. If I find myself seeking to join a religion, I will join one that most closely resembles my way of thinking. Sure, there may be some minor differences, but I'm not going to join one that has an official position different than me on something I consider to be major.
And that goes beyond religion. It goes for pretty much any group I might encounter as possible to join.
I'm not going to run around saying, "I'm blue" when, every feature of me is actually green.

As a general statement, I would agree with this.
I'm not sure I would consider marriage announcements in the alumnae newsletter of an order-affiliated Catholic high school to be a "major" something.
When the Catholic church decides to officially "recognize" gay marriage - as in, allow those who are involved in a gay marriage to serve as extraordinary ministers, lectors, lay leaders, etc... then I think we have a "major" something.
Full disclosure: I support gay marriage in a public sense (i.e. government should not prevent it), and I believe religions and religious organizations (such as schools) can choose not to officially support gay marriage.
